There are two key aspects to the development. The construction element of the project includes:. Raising the deck of the existing pier. Building of the breakwater from the pier to the end of the planned pier extension and breakwater. Installation inside the breakwater of heavy concrete floating pontoons suitable for larger commercial fishing boats and Island ferries. Installation of smaller pontoons for large and small local fishing boats. Installation of a 235 berth marina.
