Speed Up Your PC. Just another WordPress.com weblog. Use NTFS and deactivate indexing service. NTFS is more secure and faster than FAT32. You can convert your FAT32 hard disk to NTFS in Windows XP. You can increase the computer performance by deactivating indexing service. These are the step to do that work. 1 Open Run Dialog (Start Run). 2 Type “convert [drive letter:] /fs:ntfs”. 3 Click OK to convert (Convert all FAT32 partitions using this method). 4 Right Click on a NTFS partition.
