Valentine’s Day in DC |
https://dcrentals.wordpress.com/2012/02/03/valentines-day-in-dc
Short-term living, long-term memories. Valentine’s Day in DC. February 3, 2012. Ahh, that hypocritical time of year when, if you’re in a couple, you absolutely LOVE Valentine’s Day. However, for those of us without a special someone, this day can prove to be exceptionally frustrating and often filled with tubs of Ben and Jerry’s regret. Never fear! Below are options for both sets of humans. And, if you have children and are on vacation and can’t find a sitter, might we suggest sitter city. Woo At The Zoo.

two bars three stars: fatback; or, what if the best night of your life happened every month? | Rhythm without Representation

Two bars three stars: fatback; or, what if the best night of your life happened every month? In the world of DC nightlife, I am a firm believer in the institution of the monthly dance party. I don’t know if we’re just a city of over-scheduled Type As who love recurring Outlook invites or what, but many of my favorite nights in the District have taken place at monthly parties that have a cult following and a longstanding tradition. Bass-heavy remixes of 1960s-70s surf music? Free flowers to put in my hair?
