Food: managing to keep to Huel for 2 meals a day during the week, but the weekends are MINE! Rather good bbq at ‘Reds Bbq’ in Leeds. though the pork scratchings are a bit heavily spiced and I wasn’t a fan of the candied bacon. The Brisket and Burnt ends was great as was the smoked sausage with cheese and jalepeno. Well worth a visit. Horribly drive, delays, over 5 hours.

Father, Husband, Coder, Cook. Say hello to Hertzner. Well, I have finally started the server move. I am moving (and consolidating) my web ‘presence’ from two linode virtual boxen onto a single real server hosted by the fine people of hertzner.de. It’s simply not possible to say no to an EX4 box. Right now, 3 terabytes of disk space feels positively roomy and in comparison to the scant 60gig or so I had with my two linode boxes it IS. No doubt given a couple of years that will change. You may use these.

Father, Husband, Coder, Cook. People write a lot of wishful things around the New Year. Thats not to say we should not have aspirations, but we have to be realistic. People are regulated by patterns of behaviour, habits. Behaviour that has positive reinforcement. Each time around the pattern it gets more reinforcement. So, it is not unexpected that these habits become very difficult to break. Lets see how it goes, and Happy New Year everyone. Just tell me to bugger off. It’s a snap. You may use these.

At one end of our scale there is Omar (from ‘ The Wire. 8216;, a badass show in its own right). At the other is Jake Stonebender, the bartender and proprietor of Callahans. Somewhere in the middle there is Raven (from Snow crash. Where in the above badass scale does ‘ tapad airospike. Suggestions on a postcard…. It’s a snap.

Father, Husband, Coder, Cook. Posts in category food. Well, I have been looking at Sous Vide gear for a while. Finally I have taken the plunge. With help from the fine people at Anova. I have got my hands on an immersion circulator. Last night, I tried it out for the first time on some lamb chops. I cooked them at 60 degrees Celcium for about 1 hour and 20 minutes. After first having coated them with salt and pepper liberally and added a splash of fish sauce to the bag. Be prepared to sear.
