Adventures on the Pedals: May 2015
http://adventuresonthepedals.blogspot.com/2015_05_01_archive.html
Adventures on the Pedals. Stories from the bike. Sunday, May 24, 2015. When I went up to Almanzo last week, Kurt showed me his camera mount. It makes it so I can take my regular camera and mount it to the handle bar. Its pretty sweet, works as advertised, and wasn't very expensive. It leaves the camera pretty exposed to damage in the event of a crash though. Monday, May 18, 2015. Once I arrived we just hung out, discussed plans, life, and watched some goofy movies Kurt had. All city macho man. Subscribe ...

Adventures on the Pedals: Almanzo 100 2015
http://adventuresonthepedals.blogspot.com/2015/05/almanzo-100-2015.html
Adventures on the Pedals. Stories from the bike. Monday, May 18, 2015. Friday night I left straight from work to meet up with Mike and Kurt, they were kind enough to let me borrow a spot on their hotel room floor for the night. Once I arrived we just hung out, discussed plans, life, and watched some goofy movies Kurt had. We woke up Saturday, got some breakfast and watched the weather. It rained a bit before the start, which made for some gravel splatter everywhere. All city macho man. Ten Powerful Thing...

pittbrownie: Wednesday
http://pittbrownie.blogspot.com/2015/05/wednesday.html
Wednesday, May 20, 2015. It's been raining here. A lot. Only one day this month where the airport (where we get our official city tally) hasn't recorded any rain. How the hell do people in Seattle live like this? Hoping to sleep outside this weekend as I have accepted semi-rad's camping challenge. I was able to sleep out on our back porch last Thursday. We were planning to go to Buff Creek but I hear that's under snow. We're now looking at either Lake Pueblo or Canon City. Never surrender, never! Leadvil...

Adventures on the Pedals. Stories from the bike. Wednesday, July 1, 2015. Photos from the Chequamegon Trip. Here are a few more photos from our trip up north last weekend for the Chequamegon 100(Race report HERE. We had a great weekend, Evan said a couple times “daddy I wanna live here.”. I don’t think he realizes that summer begins in June and ends in July up there, but we all enjoyed our time away. Wheel Werks Custom Cycles. Wisconsin Endurance Mountain Bike Series. Adventures on the Pedals: February 2015
http://adventuresonthepedals.blogspot.com/2015_02_01_archive.html
Adventures on the Pedals. Stories from the bike. Monday, February 16, 2015. US Fat Bike Criterium National Championships. The title sounds so serious, but ironically it is probably the least serious race I have ever attended. It was a 30 minute race, plus two laps. Extra credit was given for costumes, but no one took advantage of the 30 second head start allowed to anyone wearing a speedo. 30 seconds is a lot of time, but hardly worth frostbite on nipples. Fat bikers invade the Capitol. Shimano 105 Chain...

Adventures on the Pedals: September 2014
http://adventuresonthepedals.blogspot.com/2014_09_01_archive.html
Adventures on the Pedals. Stories from the bike. Monday, September 15, 2014. Lake Geneva Cross '14. I raced cross this weekend. It went pretty well, I took 8th of 74 riders in Cat 4, which earns 0 upgrade points. After the race we ate lunch and watched the Cat 1's, then I raced the single speed class on my mountain bike. I was 30 seconds a lap faster on my mountain bike than on my cross bike and that was good enough for a win. Tuesday, September 9, 2014. I was a little surprised when I finished and saw I...

Adventures on the Pedals: April 2015
http://adventuresonthepedals.blogspot.com/2015_04_01_archive.html
Adventures on the Pedals. Stories from the bike. Wednesday, April 29, 2015. My 330 mile setup. On the drive out to Iowa we had some pretty bad rainstorms, and I was pretty concerned about my setup as far as clothing goes. 15 miles from Grinnell I decided to pull over and ride to town while Christina drove, this way I could check out my rain gear in the rain and see how the gravel was holding up. Turns out the roads were bad, really bad in fact. I hid from the wind behind a hay bale. We drove straight to ...

Adventures on the Pedals: June 2015
http://adventuresonthepedals.blogspot.com/2015_06_01_archive.html
Adventures on the Pedals. Stories from the bike. Thursday, June 25, 2015. The Chequamegon 100 – 100 mile single track mountain bike race, in Northern Wisconsin in the Chequamegon National Forest. The course does not use the same trail twice, it is one giant 100 mile loop starting in Cable going east to Lake Namekagon , then south to Hayward and back north to Cable. All the money from the registration goes back to the trails. I showed up early to the pre-race meeting on Friday and went for a ride. The for...

Adventures on the Pedals. Stories from the bike. Sunday, November 30, 2014. Cyclocross from a year ago. I searched online on how to setup a fat bike tubeless and found this blog. I looked at some of the other posts and found this picture of me. The dude takes nice pictures and has a sweet fat bike. Check it out! Monday, November 10, 2014. Adventures on the Pedals: March 2015
http://adventuresonthepedals.blogspot.com/2015_03_01_archive.html
Adventures on the Pedals. Stories from the bike. Monday, March 23, 2015. Hollendale Hunnert / equinox ride / trains iowa training day 1. The last few weeks have been pretty busy for me, so busy that I got a total of 94 miles in on the bike over that time period. I was on track to have my best Trans Iowa training yet. With the winter being so mild, I was able to have above average January and February miles. Then March hit and I went from big miles to no miles. Driftless : free from glacial drift. I am a ...
