hencity: a normal day begins...

Wednesday, January 17, 2007. A normal day begins. And another thing. what happened to our moral panic over bird flu last year? The birds all arrived to over-winter and there wasn't a squeak from the press and no dead swans or anything. They also laid off attacking pregnant teenagers and dangerous dogs - is it that global warming is absorbing all our corporate angst? Reading this reminds me of the day that J was born, when G arrived in my bedroom at 4.00 am announcing. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Sunday, April 30, 2006. News and a joke. Well an opportunity for lots of poultry jokes anyway, including one from a very small boy who asked me in his high little voice "Why did the chicken cross the road? I said - like you should - "I don't know. Why did the chicken cross the road? To which he replied looking worried, "I don't know either but it's dangerous 'cos it will get runned over." Is there a future here? Friday, April 14, 2006. Friday, April 07, 2006. Thursday, April 06, 2006. So it's here at last.

Wednesday, February 22, 2006. These are the girls! Thing going. Marjorie, a buff cochin, took to doing assemblies at schools very quickly. I gave up for a while till the lurcher was older and have, for the last two years have gradually built up a flock again - no names this time, it's too sad when they die! The first lot were stolen but now we seem to have settled. Last summer a hen and two bantams hatched out four ducklings. The lodger named the first one 'Steve' after himself! Reflections From Father David Kirk
Reflections From Father David Kirk. Tuesday, December 25, 2012. Christmas: God Joins Us In Our Struggles. Christmas is our feast. The time we remember Jesus, born homeless in a shelter in Bethlehem. The time of hope, of the birth of hope. The time when we try, once again, to open up our hearts. Our lives and let God be born in us. The Gospels begin with the Christmas story,. The birth of Jesus, the power of God in powerless little child,. And ends with the story of Emmaus,. What both stories tell us.

By Davie April O. Reyes-Acorda. On June 26, 2008, a day after his 28th birthday, Reverend David was ordained to the Sacred Order of Priests by Most Rev. Leo M. Drona, SDB, D.D. On that day, Father David fulfilled the vow which he had given Jesus in the altar when he was eight years old: to serve Him in the altar and to give his whole life to His service as His priest.
