Father Paul's Blog

Father Paul's Blog. So you say Mass is boring? May 21, 2015 – 2:56 pm. This was my reflection for this past weekend when we celebrated the feast of the Ascension. Whether or not you need glasses or not though, all of us can suffer from near sightedness spiritually. We can look around and see things, but fail to grasp the magnitude of what it is we are seeing. The beginnings of this change occurred one day when he went to pray silently in a neighborhood church. Who was the widow. His wife then asked h...

Saw-whets are awesome | Father Paul's Blog

https://fatherpaulkammen.wordpress.com/2015/03/09/saw-whets-are-awesome

Father Paul's Blog. March 9, 2015 – 12:04 am. Had the chance to visit Iowa last week on my day off, and was delighted to see this lovely saw-whet owl near Ida Grove. An area resident who loves birds was kind enough to show me around Moorhead Park. Laquo; The Ten Commandments: Why we need to look at them more deeply. Trusting in God’s Guidance. Father Paul's Blog. Monthly Archives: November 2011. Purging a soul of the muck of sin can take a lifetime – or more. November 6, 2011 – 1:29 pm. First off, my apologies. I haven’t updated this blog since – February? My hope had been to. Update it much more often, and I still hope to do that and publish homilies, random jottings,. Rants, photos, and share whatever else may be on my mind. So what if you die kind of unprepared? Here’s my homily for this week. Have a blessed day! Where can I hide? We saw hi...

Staying Connected to the Vine | Father Paul's Blog

https://fatherpaulkammen.wordpress.com/2015/05/02/staying-connected-to-the-vine

Father Paul's Blog. Staying Connected to the Vine. May 2, 2015 – 9:30 pm. Many of us profess a belief in God. But is God for us one thing among many? Or is He everything? The truth is so often we can lose sight of just how important God is, and forget that just as without the sun the earth would be a frozen wasteland, so too without the Son would our souls be the same way. But while he is a multi-millionaire, and a famous author, while he found much in the world, as he gained his fame, one thing he began...

Father Paul's Blog. Monthly Archives: January 2011. Christmas, Holy Family Show us how to Make Christ present. January 3, 2011 – 5:58 pm. I thought I’d share both homilies here. I also hope to do more blogging in 2011 and veer off on other topics such as sharing photos, or talking about sports, food, TV or other favorite topics such as doughnuts (well, I suppose that’s food…), bowling, or anything related to the 1980s. Have a very blessed New Year! Holy Family Sunday Homily:. Terry Martin’s family from E...

Father Paul's Blog. If God takes a day off, why can’t you? July 23, 2012 – 11:06 pm. Perhaps at this point, a cynical person might be thinking what a great life, 30 days vacation plus time for a retreat. Don’t these guys just have to offer Mass on weekends? 30-Day Challenge: Day 5 | La Belle Dame sans Merci

https://keicontreras.wordpress.com/2010/12/01/30-day-challenge-day-5

La Belle Dame sans Merci. Making the harsh seem a little subtle. 30-Day Challenge: Day 5. Day 5: A photo of yourself two years ago. This photo was taken in May, 2008 at my Aunt’s humble abode in Mt. Eden, Auckland, New Zealand. God knows what I have gone through just to make this trip happen. It was Papa’s graduation gift to me. It was supposedly a month-long visit, but it got cut short because of some problems, which I unfortunately encountered a few weeks before the said trip. On another note, I promis...

Of coming back and getting physical.. | La Belle Dame sans Merci

La Belle Dame sans Merci. Making the harsh seem a little subtle. Of coming back and getting physical. On to the real topic of this entry. My quest for the best physical activity for myself eventually boiled down to two options–longboarding or pole dancing. I attempted to go down the skaters' sanctuary- Taktak, Antipolo, but I failed. I was going so fast (yes, it's as fast as your cars), so I had to jump and save my life from a possible accident along the way. Who doesn't want to be like her? Let’s ...

La Belle Dame sans Merci. Making the harsh seem a little subtle. 30-Day Challenge: Day 7. Day 7: Your dream wedding. I want to get married when I’m 25 or maybe, 26. I’m 23 years old now. I have roughly 2-3 years to. I like the wedding to be by the beach. I like its serenity. The sound of the crashing waves is music to my ears. It will just be us and Poseidon on that day. Freedom, Finally. | La Belle Dame sans Merci

https://keicontreras.wordpress.com/2010/09/01/freedom-finally

La Belle Dame sans Merci. Making the harsh seem a little subtle. It was a short five or six months. It was short and eventful, to say the least. If there’s anything I will forever be grateful for, it would be the lessons that I learned at the end of each day. If I put them altogether, I can probably fill up a notebook or two just narrating my experiences and all the lessons that went with them. I’ll probably smile at some and just diss the others, I don’t know. Leave a Reply Cancel reply. Next post →.

La Belle Dame sans Merci. Making the harsh seem a little subtle. I would give up all my clothes in exchange for longer weekends. So now, I am playing smart. I laid down all my cards on the table. I just need to strategize and play them well. I have great opportunities ahead of me. I just hope time will let me take advantage of them. I want my normal life back and I will make it happen. Yes, I will still give up all my clothes for my weekends.🙂. Leave a Reply Cancel reply. Enter your comment here. You ar...

Good thing, my good friend, Trippy. Thank you, Trippy for inspiring me to do this. Day 1: A photo of yourself and a description of how your day was. La Belle Dame sans Merci. Making the harsh seem a little subtle. 30-Day Challenge: Day 4. Day 4: Your favorite photograph of your bestfriend. Jam has been my bestfriend since we were in college. That makes it six years now. When we first met during the Ateneo ORSEM (orientation seminar), I already had a feeling that she will be one of the closest friends that will make my college life memorable. True enough, one thing led to another, we ended up stuck with each other for four years. You are commenting us...

Father Paul Keenan :: Welcome

When the time comes for me, I don’t want a bunch of weeping people gathered around my deathbed telling me how awful it is that I am leaving them. (. Actually, I’ll have a deeper and better presence in their lives than I’ve had while on earth.) I want people around me who are happy remembering the good times, and grateful that I’ll be going to a more spiritual and spirited way of life.". Tuesday, August 4, 2015. Archbishop Charles Chaput: Lest We Forget. The readings of today's Mass, on the memorial of St. John Marie Vianney, brings to mind the opening Mass homily of Archbishop Charles Chaput, August 2, 2011 at the Knights of Columbus convention, in Denver Colorado. The homily is worth remembering, because Chaput presented a very interesting comparison between the familial rebellion against Moses and the experience of the Church's inner life in these modern times. That is not what Archbi...
