My four-mile time was something over 50 minutes. These are lousy times, but at age 59, I’m not worried about that. Do I really care about the times? (If you read my previous post, you’ll see that the handwriting was on the wall, so to speak.). He prescribed a fairly strong anti-inflammatory medication, plus rest and ice for a week, followed by a very slow and gradual return to running as soon as I felt up to it.
