Life Retrieval: About processes
http://liferetrieval.blogspot.com/2011/07/about-processes.html
Thursday, July 7, 2011. I have been compiling a list of available tools, languages and programming libraries during the last months. For me it has been mainly motivated by the fact that one of the most important things when talking about development in general (not only games or game audio: but whatever product, service, software or piece-of-art) is the definition of a process grounded from certain workflows. Audio and Music languages. The Open Sound Control protocol. UnityOSC (C# mono .NET). Developing ...

We believe the Faust. Programming ecosystem introduced at GRAME. 10 years ago is the proper starting point towards the global solution the audio world is waiting for. FEEVER intends to make this happen via five tasks, Task 0 being dedicated to project management. Intends to provide an industrial-strength, efficient, multi-rate, multi-platform, portable, easily integrable Faust compiler; looking at validation issues here is key in order to ensure that the provided solution is secure. Finally, Task 4.

The Audio Programming Blog. A simple delay effect for Android. March 7, 2012. Some of you might wonder how to use the code in my previous post to build processing applications. In this note, I will show you how. In fact, I have put in the work in designing the OpenSL module so it can be re-used. For this, you don’t have to touch it, only add it to your project. Typedef struct delayline t { float *delay; / delayline int size; / length in samples int rp; / read pointer float fdb; / feedback amount } DELAYL...

Thoughts and lessons in Software. May 6, 2015. I’ve recently started learning about signal processing, and a programming language called faust. They are very linux focused, and so I figured the best way to get up and running with it would be to dive into linux, it’s been a while since I really gave linux a fair look, so I was due for it. Without digressing too far, I would like to announce that I now quite like linux, and I could pretty much use if for all of my home computing apart from gaming.

Thoughts and lessons in Software. Building Ardour on Windows with MSYS2. August 16, 2015. October 24, 2015. Building Ardour on Linux is quick and easy. Building Ardour on Windows…isn’t. That being said, I bashed my way through it, and have come up with a strategy that will get you up and running. Who is this post for? Other things you might want installed. I find it is handy to have JACK. The first thing you’ll need to do is install MSYS2, but what is MSYS2? Pacman -S mingw-w64-x86 64-toolchain python3 p...
