On Wednesday we got a call from a case worker. “I’m calling to talk to you about (insert girl’s name here).”. Me: You must be mistaken. That’s not one of mine. CW: You and your husband are hoping to adopt, correct? We have been burned enough times to know not to get excited, but this time I couldn’t help it. Today, we met her.
