Life on Tara: March 2015
http://lifeontara.blogspot.com/2015_03_01_archive.html
Tuesday, March 31, 2015. Post Half Marathon Me. I would love to say that I have continued to run. But that would be so far from the truth. I think I have run three times. I am kind of bummed that I have accomplished such a major event and now it has just kind of gone by the wayside. I walked for 30 minutes. It was cool and sunny and smelled of spring. I am hoping to repeat our success tomorrow . . . Saturday, March 28, 2015. We are truly thankful for our forever friends . . . Thursday, March 26, 2015.

Life on Tara: EG and Me
http://lifeontara.blogspot.com/2015/07/eg-and-me.html
Monday, July 27, 2015. We left some of our people at camp yesterday. I know they will have a blast. The two big girls have been before. But, this is Boop's first time for the whole week. Crazy! Anyway, that leaves me and EG together for the week. That is crazy too! If this week is like any of our other weeks, it will fly by regardless of how many people we have in the house . . . . Life on Tara: June 2015
http://lifeontara.blogspot.com/2015_06_01_archive.html
Monday, June 29, 2015. I had the great honor of seeing one of my best friend's son's get married last month. I have known the boy since he was about 12. Maybe a little older or younger. I just remember him coming to my house when I would watch her kids and he would just hang out and read on the couch. I hardly ever knew he was around! The food was fab, the decorations were spectacular and everyone had a great time. I wish I would have gotten more pictures of the room and all the decor. I don't know if it...

Life on Tara: On the Road Again
http://lifeontara.blogspot.com/2015/07/on-road-again.html
Wednesday, July 1, 2015. On the Road Again. Because I am a little crazy and figuring I am not getting any younger, I went ahead and signed up for our city's next half marathon. They changed the route. It will be more scenic but much more hilly! I started training about 3 weeks ago. I am taking it slow. Up to 2 1/4 miles this week. It is amazing to me how quickly my body has forgotten that we have done this before . . . Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Children are made readers on the laps of their par...

It isn't easy, sometimes isn't much fun, always overwhelming, never dull and always an instrument for God to show me grace, humility and blessings. Happy the colts who learn submission without a lifetime of personal struggle." Mrs. Alfred Gatty. If I were a perfect parent, my children wouldn't need God." - me. Mother of the year. Life on Tara: November 2014
http://lifeontara.blogspot.com/2014_11_01_archive.html
Sunday, November 30, 2014. On Thanksgiving Thursday, the big girls and I ran in our local Turkey Trot. Us and about 7000 others! We met friends out there and had a great time. Not to mention all, of us had great runs. The big girls completed a 5K. The picture below is Nature Girl's back. She is in the yellow. These two are of Little Mama. If you look close at the picture above, you will see a super sweet smile! The three runners. I had just completed my first 10K. Friday, November 28, 2014. Our life is d...

Life on Tara: October 2014
http://lifeontara.blogspot.com/2014_10_01_archive.html
Friday, October 24, 2014. Somethings I have learned or just want to share:. Mondays are hard. I am sluggish. When the sun is coming up among the clouds I can't help but picture Jesus, coming back, riding on those clouds. (I have seen some spectacular sunrises.). I am a firm believer that the days I walk for strength and endurance really help in being able to run much better for longer distances. I never thought a 2 mile run would be a short day. Hubby sometimes shows up part way through my exercising....

Life on Tara: January 2015
http://lifeontara.blogspot.com/2015_01_01_archive.html
Sunday, January 25, 2015. Like life ain't crazy enough, we have to adopt a 43 pound, 5 1/2 month old hound dog/wiemeriner mix puppy! We have since found out he is probably a Catahoula Leopard Dog.). He is really smart and catches on pretty quick (but can be kinda stubborn.) While walking him yesterday and training him not to pull on the leash, you could see the struggle to obey my command and his desire to do what he wanted to do. He even kind of whimpered as he walked back to my side. Kind o...With abou...

Life on Tara: Looping
http://lifeontara.blogspot.com/2015/07/looping.html
Wednesday, July 15, 2015. It is amazing to me after 9 years of homeschooling I am still making adjustments. But, some things work and some things don't and I have got to just be flexible. I think one of the major changes is I will allow more visual learning. At the moment, I have at least one child who really learns better by not just reading something but visualizing it as well. So I guess I will be in search of good historical fiction movies etc. Labels: all the kids. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Life on Tara: April 2015
http://lifeontara.blogspot.com/2015_04_01_archive.html
Saturday, April 25, 2015. Welcome to the family Alex Corder! So, when Alex posted on FaceBook or Instagram "Jamaica with my beautiful wife." or something along those lines, it kind of threw me for a loop! Oh wow, he is married too! Weddings are mostly about the brides, right? Then, the other day my mom sent a group text "How is your husband? I automatically thought about mine. Then I realized "Hey, we BOTH have husbands now." It has been great thinking about it all! I think this First Look is kind of new...
