Sorry I haven’t posted anything for a while! 3 28 oz. cans of tomatoes, crushed. 1/4 cup of olive oil. 1 small onion, chopped. 8 garlic cloves, chopped. 12 basil leaves, chopped. 3 tablespoons tomato paste. 3 tablespoons parsley, chopped. 9 sprigs of thyme. 3 sprigs of rosemary. 1 teaspoon of oregano. 1 teaspoon crushed hot pepper. Memories from my Mother's Kitchen. Sharing family recipes and stories. For this recipe, you can use bottom round beef or ground beef. I guess you can use Turkey if you want to be healthy, but after all, it is Chili! 2 tablespoon of canola oil. 2 pounds of bottom round beef cut into 1/4 inch cubes or ground beef. 1/2 tablespoon of cumin. 6 oz of dark beer. 1 small red onion, diced. 2 cloves of garlic, chopped. 1 1/4 cup of red chili sauce (recipe below). 2 cups of chicken stock. 1 tablespoon of brown sugar.

A friend from work (thanks Deanne), brought cookies in many many years ago and they were so good, I asked for the recipe. I did tweak it a bit, but both are good. She used cinnamon sugar and shaped her cookies in crescents. I shape my into balls and cover them in powdered sugar. 2 sticks of butter, room temperature. 2 cups of flour. 2 cups of pecans, chopped. 1/4 cup of sugar.

Memories from my Mother's Kitchen. Sharing family recipes and stories. 15 December, 2013. Hope everyone is doing well. I missed my post last week because I was in St. Thomas with my parents. This has become somewhat of a tradition for us as we have been going for a few years now. This year, the weather wasn’t so nice, but we made the best of it and had a good time. Talks, walks, eating and laughter! I have been making the same cookies since I started the exchange. Easy to make and they are delicious.
