In fact, on the night of the election, the Chicago Daily Tribune published the headline "DEWEY DEFEATS TRUMAN". Parenthetically, my office in NYC was on Lexington Ave between 71st and 72nd streets. Place sugar and water in medium sized saucepan and combine until dissolved. Add jello and let liquid stand for 5 minutes. Place pan over high heat, stirring until jello is totally dissolved.
