I’ll be travelling with G3ZAY, M0BLF, M0HSW, M0TJH and M0VFC, all operating as JW/home callsign from the QTH of JW5E. In Longyearbyen, Svalbard. Potentially operating on 40m-10m, we are likely to have the best conditions on 30m, 20m and 17m, but we’ll also be watching for openings on 10m and 6m. May 10, 2015.

July 24, 2013. I’ll be operating RSGB. Centenary station, G100RSGB. On 26/27 July 2013, from a former US Defense [sic] Communications Station on the eastern edge of Ipswich. The site used to be responsible for providing communications for the effective global command and control of US and NATO forces in Europe and South East Asia, before it finally closed in 1992. Licensed radio amateur since 1968 but disturbingly inactive. JOTA/JOTI (Jamboree On The Air/Internet On The Internet). Takes place over the weekend 17/18 October 2015. I help at the station GB2IRS (Ipswich Radio Scouts). At Hallowtree Scout Campsite, at Ipswich, Suffolk. Yaesu FT847, DB6NT transverter for 23cm G4BAO PA, Eddystone EC958 receiver (10kHz – 30MHz). And a FUNcube Dongle. It’s a 64MHz to 1,700MHz Software Defined Radio which I have working with DL2SDR’s DSP Radio software. Yaesu FT-2200 (2m FM).
