Almost There. Falalala. I can see the light at the end of the tunnel. For the past seven months my pain and suffering has largely been chosen for me. Now it’s time to choose my trials, my pains, my sufferings. Goals that not only motivate me but scare me at the same time. Why? Because of Lucas my son. If I don’t show him now who will? Fear Its Self | Chemo Journey
It’s been a long time since I posted. Actually the last time was just after finishing chemo in January. I couldn’t even run a mile. Well now after over 700 miles of training I completed the Toronto Waterfront Marathon. It didn’t go quite as I hoped but I finished with a respectable time of 4:01. At the end I was so focused on finishing I didn’t see Mary Lou in her bright pink jacket 300m from the finish. Thanks honey! What did I do wrong? Didn’t eat a gel pack when I should have. Lessons for next time.
