https://thingshelenlikes.wordpress.com/2011/09/08/copelandspode-china-at-trelissick-mansion

Things i like and covet. Copeland/Spode China at Trelissick Mansion. Today I visited Trelissick Mansion. Near Truro for a viewing of the Spode-Copeland china collection. Trelissick has been around since the mid 1700s, but the Copeland family didn’t own it until 1937. The house is now owned by the National Trust, although the family is still in residence. We were given a talk and tour by William Copeland, great-great-great-grandson of the original William Copeland. Even the gift shop was lovely, with big ...

A Holiday in Normandy | Lovely Things

https://thingshelenlikes.wordpress.com/2011/08/30/a-holiday-in-normandy

Things i like and covet. A Holiday in Normandy. We had a fabulous holiday in Normandy, seeing as many of the sites as we could squeeze into our few days. We saw a lot of the D-Day landing things. The village of Sainte-Mère-Église, with its church spire from which a paratrooper hung for hours after getting his parachute entangled (that would be Red Buttons in. Le Chateau de Monfreville | Lovely Things

https://thingshelenlikes.wordpress.com/2011/08/29/le-chateau-de-monfreville

Things i like and covet. Le Chateau de Monfreville. Last week we spent a few days camping in Normandy at le Chateau de Monfreville. A superb little campsite in the Calvados countryside. With 20 acres of land and only 12 pitches for tents (plus two roulottes) but no caravans or camper vans, it’s never crowded. Our tent was next to the field so Bert the donkey became a close friend. We were also in the perfect spot to see the glorious sunrises. One of the nicest things about the site was that cars aren&#82...

Things i like and covet. Lately I’ve been ordering from Cornish Food Market. And am absolutely delighted by them! They source fresh, seasonal food from local Cornish producers and their prices are really competitive. Plus, they deliver free of charge. You can’t beat that! They also sell amazing cheeses, cut to order and beautifully packaged:. I roasted the carrots with olive oil, garlic and rosemary and they were delicious. Fresh Indian curries made by Ruby June. And breads from the incredible Baker Tom.

Things i like and covet. The World of Chanel at Harrods. This past weekend, some friends and I popped into Harrods. To have a look at the Chanel installation that’s been created on the third floor. It is a sight to behold, even if you’re not a Chanel nut like me. Une Promenade – Coco in Wonderland. Is what it’s called and it is rather wonderlandy. I particularly liked this Chanel wallpaper:. But my favourite bit was the haute couture room, showcasing some astoundingly gorgeous pieces. September 18, 2011 ...

FEASTS AND FOTOS –

Thai Coconut Shrimp and Basil Curry. May 18, 2015. If you like Thai food I strongly urge you to try this recipe. It is so delicious and you won’t believe how quick and easy it is to make! It’s drinkable. Seriously, it’s so good. I’m almost embarrassed to say that we never have much left over when I make this. If anything, we just have some of the sauce remaining and we love to pour it over plain white rice and eat it like that. Soooo good. 1 tbsp vegetable oil. 2 1/2 tbsp fresh ginger, peeled and minced.
