Toni in the City. Tuesday, July 21, 2015. But it's been a particularly brutal summer for me and my family after my dad passed away. Dad came back from the day long surgery in good condition. He was squeezing hands and responsive. But then things took a turn for the worse when they noticed he was bleeding and had to open him up again. He never really came back from that second surgery. We spent our first day getting a massage at our absolutely gorgeous resort. With a view of the water and mountains. It was glorious! Toni in the City. Monday, September 15, 2014. As I approach 29 and a 1/2, it seems silly to be writing about my birthday which took place 2 whole seasons ago but that's where this idea all started. My 29th birthday was the most low-key birthday I've had to date. A small celebration in the office, Passover seder at my aunt's apartment, a quick exchange of presents. Instead of ringing in another year with booze or food, Alex and I put on our creative hats and took a pottery class at a really cool local shop.
