Feeding The Multitudes: Sugar and Spice

It was the Castenares twins 11th birthday last Friday, so I had a handful of lunchmates for the day - eight, to be exact. Good thing that all of us managed to fit into my car (which seems to be shrinking a little more every day)! Thankfully, I will (probably? Never be mother t...

Of this party standard, when it actually costs so very little to make for yourself (which thereby qualifies this dish as one to feed to the multitudes). The only thing is, the prep is very. Feeding The Multitudes: Cooking for Two

Rather, when you hold a banquet, invite the poor, the crippled, the lame, the blind; blessed indeed will you be because of their inability to repay you. Hmmm, hang on one sec. And other take-out fastfood places. So, to save me time, euros, and from the misery of rice deprivation, I used to cook a whole batch of. Not to mention ...

Feeding the Music

Wednesday, May 13, 2009. A Mother's Day Extravaganza. So this past Sunday was Mother's Day. Since my mom lives in Ecuador, I decided to lend a hand in the creation of a lovely meal for Sarah's mom. It was a great day of fun and all the young ones got involved. This is how the menu went down:. Baby romaine salad topped with a dijon vinaigrette, dried cranberries, toasted pecans, goat cheese and warm panchetta. Tortellini stuffed with a potato, romano, lemon, and mint filling, tossed with some butter.
