Feeding the Need to Succeed. Dispelling the myths about eating healthy, one post at a time! Tuesday, April 24, 2012. All Photography and Food Preparation By: Michelle Eisen. As mentioned in my first post, Where It All Began. For those of you who have children, you can imagine the students’ reactions when asked to consume 5-12 servings of fruits and vegetables A DAY! In fact, for those who are not used to eating a diet rich in fruits and vegetables, their reactions are the very same. Due to time restraint...

Feeding the Need to Succeed. Dispelling the myths about eating healthy, one post at a time! Tuesday, January 24, 2012. Ready, Set, JUICE! Photography By: Michelle Eisen. I recently watched a documentary. Fat, Sick, and Nearly Dead. About a man, who was suffering from an autoimmune disease called chronic urticaria. To be clear, I am not recommending juicing as a meal-substitute. I am recommending that drinking fresh juice become part of you and your family’s daily routine. Consuming fresh juice can improv...

Feeding the Need to Succeed. Dispelling the myths about eating healthy, one post at a time! Saturday, December 24, 2011. Where It All Began. Why do I want to write about cooking with nutrition in mind? As I began working in the school system myself, I noticed the very same trends. By this time, some schools had begun implementing breakfast programs, as schools realized the role food plays in the ability to learn. Was it going to be that “simple”? It was these questions that fueled my thesis work. I didn&...

Feeding the Need to Succeed. Dispelling the myths about eating healthy, one post at a time! Thursday, May 10, 2012. Mirror, Mirror On The Wall. Would you say the above square is? Did you say blue. What if I told you it was actually yellow? Would you insist that it is blue. What if I were adamant that this square was yellow- how could you convince me otherwise if I just don’t see it that way? As we are in the middle of Canada’s Mental Health Week. Among all mental illnesses. What is an Eating Disorder?

Beat Greed and Feed the Need". Friday, November 26, 2010. What if we all had enough? What if there was no corporate greed? What if we were all satisfied with just the essentials? Why is it that Pumping Gas does not provide health insurance? Why is it that we are ok with People who are homeless or the fact that are country is in the hole, a billion plus dollars? Feeding The Need To Write | Hold fast to dreams, for if dreams die, life is a broken winged bird that cannot fly.- Lanston Hughes

Feeding The Need To Write. I promise I am, just nothing worth posting about. Right now I’m working on a science fiction story that deals with the world ending (of course), a new world beginning and a woman finding out who she really is. I haven’t titled it yet, the title hasn’t came to me yet. I’ve came up with several story ideas so I’ve got plenty to work with. It’s just getting motivated to work on something. School is back in session and it’s starting to get busy. Gunnerkrigg Court by Thomas Siddell.
