The Best Yellow Cake Ever! 3 large eggs separated and at room temperature. 1 1/2 cup sugar divided. 2 1/4 cups cake flour. 3 teaspoons baking powder. 1/3 cup 1 tbs vegetable oil (I use canola). 1 cup whole milk (1 or 2% work also). 1 1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract. Good food with simple ingredients. By apuginthekitchen on January 11, 2014. 1 1/4 cup great northern beans. 1 clove garlic smashed. Salt pork (about the size of a deck of cards). Bring beans, garlic. pork and water to a boil, reduce heat and simmer covered for approximately 2 hours until beans are tender. I did not soak the beans overnight but if you do reduce cooking time by at least half. 1 28 oz can whole italian plum tomatoes (Blended until smooth). 1 clove garlic minced. Salt and pepper to taste.

What I do love however is Pearl Couscous; I guess because it’s almost like pasta and not really like couscous at all. I love how it holds it’s shape and soaks up any flavour you add to it. Anyway, at the moment, I’m a little addicted to this nutty flavoured little pearler! Here’s the recipe and the pics.
