Events and Community Gatherings. Youth Rites of Passage - Wilderness Enactment. Sunday, July 3, 3-6 pm. Thursday, July 7, 5-8 pm. This spring, several of our youth and their families stepped into the first year of a multi-year rites of passage experience. On July 3rd three of these youth will leave their familes to spend 5 days in the wilderness connecting with the land, testing their skills, and coming to know themselves more deeply. Skills Classes and Community Gatherings. September 20th, 2014. 9:30 am - 12:30 pm. This hands-on class will leave you and your family with practical survival skills and some useful items to bring home! Come learn how to make rope using only plants found in Colorado. Then, we will provide enough pre-made rope for you to learn how to make your own survival bracelets and water bottle holders. Anyone aged 6 to 110 welcome! Younger children are welcome, but they may find the activities to be challenging).
