cut on the bias: October 2011
http://msbias.blogspot.com/2011_10_01_archive.html
Cut on the bias. At 45˚ to the straight of grain. And in new knitting news, my pink ginger jumper is coming along nice:. Top-down raglan, so you're looking at the neckline and the increases for each shoulder-sleeve there. It's stocking-stitch, with a line of reverse-side in the centre of each set of increases (does that make sense? So it's [ . k, k, inc 1, p, stitch marker, p, inc 1 the other way, k, k, k. ] at each set of increases.). Although this does mean that everything I've knitted for the past 12 ...

cut on the bias: April 2007
http://msbias.blogspot.com/2007_04_01_archive.html
Cut on the bias. At 45˚ to the straight of grain. Not much to report on the knitting front, friends - I have about six inches left of the second sleeve to do on raglan road. And then it will just need blocking and sewing up. My thesis writing schedule is having a detrimental effect of my knitting, and no noticeable effect on my thesis. Oh well! But in the midst of this soulless and lonely work, something bright and cheerful arrived on my doorstep: the yarn for josephina! And the Empress crochet cotton.

cut on the bias: Pink Ginger, finished
http://msbias.blogspot.com/2012/06/pink-ginger-finished.html
Cut on the bias. At 45˚ to the straight of grain. Pink Ginger, finished. It's been so long that Blogger's user interface has completely changed. Hmm. Anyway, some finished objects! First of all, my Pink Ginger jumper. I am slightly alarmed at how precisely the finished jumper matches the original MS Paint picture. I finished this sometime around March, I think, although it’s taken me ages to get some photos of it. It hasn’t. Or if you have to manually code with HTML. Im starting a blog soon but have ...

cut on the bias: buttons!
http://msbias.blogspot.com/2011/10/buttons.html
Cut on the bias. At 45˚ to the straight of grain. The orange cardigan is finally finished! The making-up really dragged - I hate sewing button bands on - but I finally did it last weekend, and then sewed on four bright, shiny orange buttons. They are out of my mum's button bag, of buttons she collected before I was born, so they're proper, vintage 70s:. I am so, so pleased with this cardigan. It hasn't turned out how I expected - it's much smaller and more fitted in the pattern. It's practically silken, ...

http://msbias.blogspot.com/2011/12/not-knitting-but.html
Cut on the bias. At 45˚ to the straight of grain. Not knitting, but -. We have been making things pretty, wallpapering our front room and putting up the Christmas tree. I've always been rubbish at taking indoor house pictures, but my partner's just got a fancy new camera that's made it a lot easier, so here you go, have some photos. And this is the living room, and the CHRISTMAS TREE:. I LOVE our colour schemes. What excellent pictures of your glitzy partner in her home-knit fair-isle! This is knit blog.

cut on the bias: Blue daisies
http://msbias.blogspot.com/2012/06/blue-daisies.html
Cut on the bias. At 45˚ to the straight of grain. I've been working on two things since I finished the Pink Ginger. The first is my Lundish jumper, a bottom-up Fair-Isle yoke jumper which was inspired by . well, you can probably guess. It's on Ravelry here. I knitted about 7" of it and then decided it was April and time to knit summer things. So for the last couple of months, I've been working on a very light top-down raglan cardigan, made in Zitrone Filligran:. So I don’t know. Thoughts? 2 July 2012 at ...

Knit City: September 2007
http://knitcity.blogspot.com/2007_09_01_archive.html
Sunday, 30 September 2007. Sadly, the camera is down for my weekly post, but I dare not wait to post, lest I fail to meet the SP11 four posts a month requirement. I'm actually a bit worried that I have to try so hard to make four a month. It's been a very slow week, as my wrist started hurting a bit last weekend. And kept hurting. I tried doing a row or two a night on Trapeze, but couldn't manage any more than that. I couldn't even mark my students' papers! Sunday, 23 September 2007. Anyways, John Lewis&...

Knit City: July 2007
http://knitcity.blogspot.com/2007_07_01_archive.html
Tuesday, 24 July 2007. I am, it must be said, very bored of wisp. The pattern is dreadfully easy, with no stitch more complicated than k2tog, but the fact that it is lace ensures that it still requires too much of my attention. Straight tv knitting is out, it seems. And every time we headed into town, or to the pub or cafe, I had to pass by it. I resisted as long as I could, but I am only so strong. Eventually, I gave in and let myself be seduced by 10 skeins bright red Artesano Alpaca (a much bo...With ...
