Farcical tidings from (not-so) afar. 近年來, 中國熱 就像 蘋果熱 一樣, 在媒體上燒的焦爛. 不管是真的假的或空穴來風, 只要跟中國或蘋果沾上邊的, 都讓媒體給繪聲繪影的打造成 專題報導 . 這些電視新聞台的所謂專題報導, 也不過是轉播一小段翻譯後的CNN畫面, 或甚至是直接從 Youtube 上擷取畫面, 配上旁白. 這樣的報導除了煽動的標題外, 完全沒有深度與思考價值, 卻能夠在社會上造成一種 很強烈的印象. 但, 觀眾們, 讓我們往後退一步, 仔細想想:. 1 在原來的專訪中, CNN的記者或是Baidu的財務長有提到這樣的計畫或期望嗎? 2 所謂 超越Google , 指的是什麼? 這每一個問題的答案意味著百度所必須採取的不同策略. 在民視所謂的 專題報導 中只說百度要超越Google, 實在是太膚淺. 我認為, 應該是先有明星產品, 才有明星CEO.

Tales and thoughts from the Orient. 不記得在哪裡學過, 中國文言文的詩體在當時多是用吟唱的方式流傳. 中國的詩人在現成的曲上譜詞, 與現代的流行音樂也差不多. 每個人都有自己的風格, 每個時代也有不同的 zeitgeist. 我常常覺得現代美國的 hip-hop / rappers / MCs 與中國詩人有許多相似之處, 尤其是文言文詩人 精簡的用字, 創意的韻腳, 故事的鋪陳, 倒裝句與斷句的運用, 主格與受格的變化,. 若是配上當時流行的曲, 該是讓人聽來心曠神怡. In fact, 許多 rappers / MC 叫自己的詞 poetry, 甚至稱自己為 poets. 影響力大的詩人能領導文化, 而文化會改變一個語言用字用詞的習慣, 這又是一個相似之處. 可惜的是, 欣賞中文古體詩的群眾與欣賞 hip-hop / rap / soul 音樂的群眾大概很少有 overlap 吧? 我有時會想, 若是梁實秋, 余光中這樣中英文詩體皆精通的學者有機會接觸這樣的文化交流, 應該會是相當有趣的事情. 他們會怎樣評論呢? Farcical tidings from (not-so) afar. 一位名氣非常大的學者拜訪寺廟, 想與住持和尚論禪. 在廟裡的第一天, 住持只是和他閒話家常, 並不論佛學. 在廟裡的第二天亦然. 就這樣, 學者在寺裡住了好幾天, 卻仍沒機會跟住持論禪, 於是終於忍不住, 逮到機會當面質問住持, 為甚麼這樣冷落他. 住持請他坐下, 一起泡茶. 倒茶時, 住持往學者的茶杯裡不停的注入茶水, 直到杯裡的茶滿溢出, 學者驚訝不解的問住持, 為什麼不停止倒茶呢? 住持和尚說: “你現在的心就像這個茶杯一樣, 自信滿溢, 其他甚麼都裝不進去. 這樣子我怎麼跟你討論任何事情呢? 我在生活中也認識這樣的人. 而我不得不承認, 自己也時常是這樣自滿的聽不進別人的意見, 總是認為自己的想法最高明. 最近這一年來, 對這樣的自己越來越有所警惕. 人總是只聽到自己想聽到的, 這不是個好現象. 2011年, 希望自己在這一點上能改善. 新年新希望, 祝大家新年快樂, 平平安安. Tuesday, October 21, 2014. In Search for Best ActiveSync Exchange Client for Android. Note: Last update Jan 27, 2015 - all apps are still being tested - not complete - also the apps keep updating! The native email client on the Samsung S5 is not very good at all so I've been searching for better ones. Unfortunately, I haven't seen any blogs that spell out the pros and cons of Exchange Email Clients using Activesync. Thus I have to test them out myself and see what's the best.
