WELCOME TO FELT ART WITH JACKIE FAULKNER. Felting is an ancient method of making cloth for tents, clothing and everyday objects. The earliest documentation on it comes from China in 2300 B.C. but felting is from the Central Asian Steppes that archaeologists have so far found the earliest examples. The actual origin of felt craft is unknown but it is in all probability the earliest form of textile making. Any animal with hair, fur or wool was used. Jackie will be emailing a periodic felt art newsletter.
