Wednesday, January 13, 2010. When was the last time you made an error of grey whale proportions? 160; Here’s mine! I read somewhere that steaming felt hats or slippers would create a ‘memory’ in the wool and so the form would hold better. Accordingly I rigged up a rack precariously balanced on two ramekins to keep my slippers above the water in my roasting pan - eerily prophetic that was. Then the phone rang……………. Monday, May 16, 2011. Class 3/4 Gets Down To It! We began by wetting the piece down well. And then we began to gently work the surface. Part way through the children began to spontaneously sing – the clips are quick so turn up those speakers. Once we were safely at the prefelt stage we took it outside to stomp and log roll it.
