TinaFeltMaker: Hand Felted Wool Scarves, Purses and More: November 2009
http://tinafeltmaker.blogspot.com/2009_11_01_archive.html
TinaFeltMaker: Hand Felted Wool Scarves, Purses and More. Monday, November 16, 2009. The Making of a Scarf/Shawl/Wrap. I've been working on this scarf for a couple of days. Just to give you an idea of its size, the table is 72" round. Laying out the dry wool took me about 3 hours and 4 pounds of wool in black and gray. Merino of course. The dry size was 24" by 93" - the largest one I've ever done. I've made two other shawls but not in this format. Friday, November 13, 2009. I made a prototype for a large...
TinaFeltMaker: Hand Felted Wool Scarves, Purses and More: December 2009
http://tinafeltmaker.blogspot.com/2009_12_01_archive.html
TinaFeltMaker: Hand Felted Wool Scarves, Purses and More. Wednesday, December 30, 2009. One of my goals for next year is working on perfecting a type of felted wool art project. I have been making several of my "dreads" scarves and trying different lengths, widths and manners of laying out wool. Here is my latest creation. I am very satisfied with the way it turned out. In laying out the wool I have pulled apart the long lengths so that they are very thin and airy. Saturday, December 19, 2009. I also use...
TinaFeltMaker: Hand Felted Wool Scarves, Purses and More: January 2010
http://tinafeltmaker.blogspot.com/2010_01_01_archive.html
TinaFeltMaker: Hand Felted Wool Scarves, Purses and More. Wednesday, January 13, 2010. I started creating this dreads scarf a few days ago. My thought in laying out the wool for this one is to create a more random weave rather than the grid. The dreads will hang from all 4 sides. Over the next couple of days I will wet it and begin the felting process. Because of its size it will take a couple of days to roll. Monday, January 4, 2010. Happy New Year to All. Labels: black and white. Web Sites I Like.

TinaFeltMaker: Hand Felted Wool Scarves, Purses and More: February 2010
http://tinafeltmaker.blogspot.com/2010_02_01_archive.html
TinaFeltMaker: Hand Felted Wool Scarves, Purses and More. Wednesday, February 24, 2010. Today I'm working on funky, large felted beads strung on a long strand of black silk. It is designed to compliment a spring dress that is black with white polka dots. I keep trying to achieve an "over the top" minimalist. Design. An oxymoron, perhaps. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). TinaFeltMaker: Hand Felted Wool Scarves, Purses and More. Monday, November 29, 2010. Saturday, November 6, 2010. For one thing, I've learned to take better pictures. I have a space set up in my studio for taking pictures and I have specific props. Right now I think a lot about the details of each purse; the inside, the outside, the closure, the flap, the handles, whether the bottom will be flat or rounded. And I use a felt stiffener so that the purse is more durable. Labels: felted wool purse. I like the...

Felting Forum News
Feb 19, 2009. Artist Offerings Needed for Australian Bushfire Relief. A State on Fire. A message from Felting Forum member, judelicious. Each summer February looms before Victorians as 'bushfire season'. But of course life goes on as usual, it has to. This year however, life has not gone on as normal. A firestorm of more than 30 fires across Victoria has marked Feb 2009 as a black period of Australia's history, racing over hilltops and houses in seconds and devastating whole towns in minutes. Artist Offe...
