Because single-identity activism was never an option. Suggest, write, collaborate. Newer posts →. Not just a number: age, power and abuse. Warning for discussion and description of abuse of intimate partners.]. I’m thinking about a longer article about women who abuse women they’re in relationships with, but it might take a while. In the meantime, I wanted to get some thoughts that I’ve been having about age out of my system. Some brief bits of evidence from other people, for anyone feeling skeptical:.

Because single-identity activism was never an option. Suggest, write, collaborate. Links: things to read and do. Shifting privilege and stopping tanning →. Apologies for not posting anything for the past couple of months – I’ve been struggling with depression. Boring, I know! Maybe at some point I’ll have lots of deep thoughts about white patriarchy and mental health, and turn it to the good, but for now I’m focussing on getting out of bed and not alienating too many people. Because single-identity activism was never an option. Suggest, write, collaborate. One Billion Rising is probably better than nothing. Links: things to read and do. First the good news: a major (and fantastic) radical feminist blogger nails her colours to the mast. Regarding the fact that transsexual women are sisters in our shared struggle. In her usual inimitable style:. I mean, I’m hardly one to cry out oh dear what about the peen? At every turn, but Jesus in a jetpack, that’s gotta smart. Fill in you...
Shifting privilege and stopping tanning | FeministPlus

Because single-identity activism was never an option. Suggest, write, collaborate. Shifting privilege and stopping tanning. As I child, I was acutely aware of the colour of my skin. I was the only non-white pupil at my school, and although I was only darker by a couple of shades, it was enough for children and adults alike to ask me where I was from or to make comments about my colour. And then couple of days ago, I read about UKBA workers racially profiling, harassing and arresting commuters in London.

Feminist Phys Ed | a real physical education never stops
A real physical education never stops. I am a runner! June 16, 2012. For years I hated seeing runners around this hilly little college town. I wanted to smack those healthful smiles right off of their faces. I imagined them going home, doing a few pushups, and then throwing some camping equipment and their golden retriever / lab / other popular dog type into their landrover to seek adventure. I loathed those people and the lives I imagined for them. May 31, 2012. Thanks, fit dude. Utm source=newsletter&#...

The Feminist Pit Bull Blog | Let’s put the *CHOMP* on Patriarchy by using our minds!
The Feminist Pit Bull Blog. September 14, 2007 · 11:30 pm. Just a point of note: moving this weekend. Yeef, just when my job has almost devoured me, I’m adding a move on top of it. Will wonders never cease? This weekend, I’m moving. Fortunately, I don’t have a lot of stuff, which is really good. Look for me to start blogging again in the next 1-2 weeks; in the meantime, I’m checking this blog daily for comments to be posted. No, I haven’t given up blogging! PUT THE CHOMP ON PATRIARCHY! I am pleased to an...

what does a feminist poet sound like?
What does a feminist poet sound like? You asked what does a feminist poet look like? The feminist poet (at her post) is both visible and yet invisible in sound. He said, for women, one and one and one and one don’t make four. What do they make? I said, expecting him to say five or three? Peels of ironic laughter). In spite of what resistanc...
