Friday, August 21, 2009. De eerste put op de mijn puttenlijst gaat binnenkort gebouwd worden. Het gaat om een al bestaande put die niet meer werkt. Volgens de aannemer die ik heb gesproken komt dat omdat de putten niet diep genoeg zijn gebouwd. Tuesday, October 14, 2008. Reizen door het binnenland. Tijdens het reizen door het binnenland moet je voorbereid zijn op allerlei situaties. In onderstaand voorbeeld lag er een boom op de weg. Na een stuk lopen vond ik sterke mannen die voor wat geld hun machettes gebruikten om hem op te ruimen zodat ik m’n reis naar de missie in Mesangmena (Oost Kameroen) kon vervolgen. Thursday, September 10, 2009. De Chinezen zijn erg actief in Kameroen als het gaat om infrastructuur. Veel transportvervoer en wegen worden door de chinezen aangelegd. Nu hebben ze een nieuw project opgeleverd, een nieuw sportpaleis(Stade in het frans). Samen met Andra en haar vriend Christiaan ben ik daar naar toe geweest om te kijken naar een volleybal wedstrijd. Monday, March 9, 2009. In Kameroen heb ik Bilharzia. Opgelopen. Vorig jaar heb ik een behandeling gehad, maar ik moest van die medicatie heel erg overgeven zodat het geen nut had.
