McArthur House Hotel in Fenelon (Aug 2015). As you cross the bridge and enter the downtown area of Fenelon Falls, the 3 story property on the corner of Colburne and Water Street was recognized as a prime piece of real estate as far back as 1850 when a Log Tavern was built there by Daniel Comstock. The extensive property grounds extended all the way to May Street and included stables, storage areas, a livery stable which managed the rent-a-horse service provided by the hotel.
