There is a poem by Walt Whitman that goes "And to die is different from what anyone supposed, and luckier". And I think that can be applied to just about anything, not just death. Life and love and all the pains that come with it. Growing up, too. It's a subject I probably dwell on too much, but right now I am so ready. For the future. So eager to become an adult, I imagine turning eighteen and moving away to college and being independent. And despite how not. My, how you've grown. The first month was ki...

Regal Books 2009, Age: High School ). You can also find paperdoll on goodreads. I told Natalie I was unwilling to endorse a predictable, cliche, quippy treatment of the young adult journey. I am so pleased to report that Paperdoll is none of those things. It is lovely, surprising, artsy and a little quirky, and every young woman should read it. It is a needed manifesto for the next generation who prefers a three-dimensional life to a paper image. -. Speaker and Author of 7. Actor, Saving Sarah Cain.

Take a look at this beautiful video. It's incredible: so many countries and people and photographs. The photos of Petra and Amman are stunning. It's crazy to think that it's been nearly two years. Since I left for Jordan. Portugal & Thailand look beautiful too. Someday, I would love to visit any or all of the countries pictured. I love that there are so many places to go. Links to this post. Nearly Fancy: The Birthday Post.
http://nearlyfancy.blogspot.com/2012/01/birthday-post.html
Tuesday, 10 January 2012. The sun shone brightly, staining every surface with a golden hue. Camera in hand, That Guy and I set off on an adventure. An adventure to ice, open water, mud, cat-tails, and sunshine. Our shoes became wet in this spring like weather, neither of us properly footed for our adventures. my moccasins quickly became cold, and his cowboy boots wet. Who cares though, right? On that day our footwear defined our personalities. And adventures. Especially with That Guy. Carrot on a String.

February is good for living. And then I spent an hour staring at the computer screen, trying to find a way to say what I need to say (cue John Mayer) and get back into this writing thing. I'm having coffee with an old best friend on Saturday. Things haven't been good with her for a long time. We've grown up a lot since the last time we last really talked, and I'm scared and excited to see her. These are the things that I'm going to say:. And how we would make cookies at two am? I miss you. You were m...
