http://drip-designsfurniture.blogspot.com/2016_01_01_archive.html
Tuesday, 12 January 2016. Mustard Chest (the afternoon light made it look quite peachy, cute too! I love mustard shades! I've written about it before but haven't painted with it for a while. Inspired by one of my students at the Albany Summer School last week (who refinished a rocking chair) I mixed up a mustard tone using English Yellow and a drop of Emperors Silk with a plan to paint a sweet little chest I bought last week. The gorgeous Annie Sloan Chalk Paint palette. Tuesday, 5 January 2016. I have a...

Drip Designs Furniture: August 2014
http://drip-designsfurniture.blogspot.com/2014_08_01_archive.html
Monday, 11 August 2014. Updating a lamp and shade with Chalk Paint™. Firstly apologies for lack of brilliant photography and step-by-step images! I wasn't planning on posting this project, but it turned out really well, just what I was after.so here we go! I found a lamp in a second-hand shop and I thought it might benefit from a little colour! The plain white shade was from target. I love how the shade changes colour depending on light in the house or whether the switch is on :). Thursday, 7 August 2014.

Taking inspiration from the sea to create the beach home of your dreams. May 14, 2015. DIY French Country Dining Chairs. Sometimes a project just kicks your butt. Such was the case with my recent DIY French country dining chairs using that hot trend: chalk paint. Why does no one tell you that chalk paint rubs off? Now, I know that most DIYers use a product called Annie Sloan Chalk Paint. Crafts store, so I went with something else. I “recycled” these 2 cottage chairs from a dumpster. Cost? Since I was go...

2015 May – Butterfly Heart
https://butterflyheartblog.com/2015/05
Don’t) Put Me In, Coach! May 31, 2015. There wasn’t much I did well in gym class. I never ran a 12-minute mile, never made it up the rope, and was worried I’d get my face smashed by the volleyball. But I could do the Arm Hang like no other! Is that a sport, you ask? It is when you’re one of the skinniest, lankiest girls in her 7. Grade class, underweight by at least 20 pounds. Hold my chin (and the rest of my body) above that bar with my undefined biceps and triceps? BTW that does not. And my classmates,...

I’m Pretty Well Covered, Thanks! July 27, 2015. I almost didn’t write a post this week. Until, when I left the grocery store tonight, a man blessed me. Post ideas flittered through my head all weekend, but nothing stuck. I knew I could pull some pre-written, partially complete posts and finish them, but they weren’t pulling at my heart at the moment. I actually started thinking,. Maybe I could just skip this week. Would anyone know that I didn’t write a new post? It felt good. To be outside, to get a...

Not My Pillows! – Butterfly Heart
https://butterflyheartblog.com/2015/08/02/not-my-pillows
August 2, 2015. Nothing stays in its place in this home. For someone who enjoys. To stay somewhat organized, this can drive me batty. Cars are one example. We have about 500 matchbox cars. I’m not exaggerating. I’d count them for you, but that would mean I’d have to find them all. And I’m not into self-punishment. Pillows are another. The decorative pillows for my couch are never ON my couch. They’re on the floor, across the room, or wedged between the wall and the circular bookcase. I make it a game.

My Favorite Thing…Sleep. June 28, 2015. I’m a horrible cuddler. Let me specify. When I first go to bed at night, I can’t do the falling asleep in someone’s arms thing. I need my space. So it’s a bit unusual that one of my favorite things has been sleeping with my kids. In our bed. I’ve likely unleashed some parenting judgment. The clicking of the tongue (. The gasps of horror that we bring the kids into our bed. Sleeper, you’re probably already nodding your head in understanding. I shared how my toddler ...
