Welcome to the soundtrack of my life. Saturday, December 31, 2005. Feel dizzy. need. sports. scores. It was "girls' night in" at the Hogstrom house last night as Kerstin cued up the DVD player for an "all-nighter" of "Gilmore Girls.". Our 10-year-old daughter had received the DVD of the first season for Christmas. Last night, we loaded up on pizza, chips, ice cream and the like for a mammoth helping of SIX HOURS. Of Lorelai and Rory. I dug some of the music - the first song played on "Gilmore Girls".

Welcome to the soundtrack of my life. Sunday, July 31, 2005. How to spend a perfect Sunday. Yesterday, a bunch of us drove to Milwaukee to see the Brewers host my beloved Giants. As I sat watching San Francisco. Take batting practice, I thought about how the team has been a primary thread running through my life, from my Bay Area origins to my current situation in the Upper Midwest. So many things have changed for me, except for my connection with the Giants. 7-1 I think the Giants. 4 MAKE UP FANTASITIGO...

I scrolled down to Hank on the iPod when I left the house, and I have been listening to him since as I embarked on several assignments. Was it the widespread misery that made me want to hear songs such as "Alone and Forsaken" and "I'm So Lonesome I Could Cry? Posted by erik hogstrom at 2:21 PM. It was music made...

Welcome to the soundtrack of my life. Sunday, October 30, 2005. Journalism: The Glamour Never Ends. You always hear people say: "I like my job because every day is different.". Well, I had to work today and the day was surely different. I covered "Dog-o-ween,". A costume contest for dogs. Rather than simply write about the cute winners of the contest - something the newspaper has done for years - I decided to try a different approach. Way of covering a costume contest for dogs. Hmm. I know! And download ...

Welcome to the soundtrack of my life. Wednesday, November 30, 2005. Listening to some rather obscure songs from the 1980s ( Freur's "Doot Doot,". This week reminded me of my favorite radio station. From April 1983 to June 1985, San Francisco boasted what many people (myself. Included) consider to be the greatest radio station of all time. The station. Could be found at 98.9 on the FM dial and effectively broke the alternative. Music trail in the Bay Area. I'm referring to "The Quake,". Think 98.9 bro...

Welcome to the soundtrack of my life. Thursday, June 30, 2005. Who needs the real Earth? I have Google Earth. Those things that are impossible to fold the same way twice. I have been...
