Ohmy misunderstanding.I'll move along now". I really don't think that it is fair for the birds to get all the good stuff! Don't you like raccoons? Too many of the wrong kind of visitors Mary.{:). Oh, but hes a cutie pie! Well, dont you? Such a cute post! If only they were that willing to leave sometimes.and not come back. All photos p...

Faith, Fabric and Photos: Bobcat.....just an over grown pussy cat......
http://faithfabricandphotos.blogspot.com/2013/04/bobcatjust-over-grown-pussy-cat.html
Monday, April 22, 2013. Bobcat.just an over grown pussy cat. We were sitting at the kitchen table when we saw this Bobcat arrive for a visit. He was sitting on the wall that surrounds my sister's backyard! At first he just stared where all the birds had been feeding a few minutes earlier. There had been at least 5 bunnies, dozens of quail and doves and other birds out there until he/she? Arrived. I'm glad they took off even though I know the Bobcat needs food, too. Down into the yard. A nice big yawn.

Faith, Fabric and Photos: June 2015
http://faithfabricandphotos.blogspot.com/2015_06_01_archive.html
Wednesday, June 10, 2015. Up on the treetops and wires. It seems like most of the birds I saw and tried to photograph this week were way up over my head. Not the best angle for shots! However, I did see a lot of nice birds this way. At home, while sitting in the swing out front, I caught the movement of birds over head in the ash tree. This little Red-bellied woodpecker was scooting around while waiting for dad to come feed him. I could barely spot him, he blended in so well. Dad brings some food! There ...

Thursday, August 14, 2014. Hot day water dish =. Fun in the sun! Never have so many. Had so much fun. In so little water! I get such a kick out of watching the little sparrows when they decide it is time to play in the water. A few taking a break at the water fountain. This one decided that a water fountain was a perfect place to sit.right on the water spout! Children.I think I'll get my drink up here! Finally.the sparrow brats have all gone away! But they will take them right from the plant, too. I beli...

Tuesday, April 28, 2015. The turtles are out at the wetlands and "wren-o-vations". I stopped by the wetlands one day last week and the water was very high still. Hope to go back this week and maybe the water will have gone down some. But the turtles were out on the logs in the creek. There just weren't as many logs above the water level for them to sit on. The water in the creek was high, but clear. A beautiful day to be out! Young maple leaves that looked pretty. First damselfly shot of the year. I may ...

Faith, Fabric and Photos: July 2014
http://faithfabricandphotos.blogspot.com/2014_07_01_archive.html
Monday, July 28, 2014. Odds and Ends from the wetlands. These were the rest of my photos from two trips to the wetlands. A little bit of everything, but nothing really spectacular. I'm seeing a few butterflies, but they are not being very cooperative for photos. A couple shots of the Red Admiral. I think this is a Spicebush Swallowtail. Question Mark, probably. The tiny frogs were all over the duckweed. These look big in the photos, but are about the size of my little fingernail. Monday, July 21, 2014.

Thursday, May 14, 2015. Azalea Walk: Part 2. A few more photos of the azaleas and all the wood carvings and statues scattered among them. I like the combinations of different colors throughout the woods. Angels in the hostas. Don't know what this large piece was originally, but thought it might have come off a building? It's now a table with these ferns in the middle. A Green Man carving with a little gnome character at the top. Another one attacked by the woodpeckers. A Tree of Life quilt square. This l...

Faith, Fabric and Photos: Three is always something to see at the wetlands....
http://faithfabricandphotos.blogspot.com/2015/08/three-is-always-something-to-see-at.html
Sunday, August 9, 2015. Three is always something to see at the wetlands. We decided we needed some exercise and the heat wasn't too bad, so we went to Howell wetlands to see what might be about. We ended up seeing more mammals then anything else which is unusual. My favorite find were the 2 fawns. Only rarely do we see deer there, so these two were a great bonus for the day. Fawn #1 lying in the grass when we first saw them. Looks like it would like to take a nice nap in the sun. Back at home they deliv...

Faith, Fabric and Photos: December 2014
http://faithfabricandphotos.blogspot.com/2014_12_01_archive.html
Sunday, December 7, 2014. Some of the yard birds. A few of our recent visitors at the home front. Mike heard this hawk hit the glass doors. A young Sharp-shined, I believe. Sat on the rail while it got its senses back. I'm always glad they aren't hurt, but it does give the chance for some photos. A very lovely hawk. One of the squirrels eating some of the crab apples. The Carolina Wren has been around a lot lately. Mrs Cardinal waiting in the bushes. Downy male at the suet. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).
