The Cow Family: Happy 4th Birthday, Ava!
http://vacafamily.blogspot.com/2010/06/happy-4th-birthday-ava.html
Tuesday, June 8, 2010. Happy 4th Birthday, Ava! Our sweet little girl turns four today. We simply can't believe how quickly she's growing up. As the saying goes "the days are long, but the years are fast! It truly seems like yesterday we were at the hospital meeting our teeny 5-pounder for the first time. We love her more every single day and are so blessed to have her in our lives. Ava had such a great time and was so happy to have all her friends there. We love you both! This is Mini Bowling for ya!

http://vacafamily.blogspot.com/2010_11_01_archive.html
Tuesday, November 2, 2010. So it's November. and I haven't posted in six weeks! Probably because we took trip after trip AND I've actually been busy at work. These do not make for good combinations for an aspiring blogger. Anyway, if you want all the pics, you'll have to be my facebook friend, but in the meantime, I'll recap the following:. Annual trip to Seven Springs. Homecoming at Purdue / Chicago visit. Mary and Kayla riding the ski lift. The girls loved the petting zoo. Last weekend we hit up a craz...

Life with the Emerts. Saturday, November 10, 2007. Our Trip to "The City". After we got off the plane and checked into our hotel, we headed straight for the city.no time to waste. Our first stop was Pier 39 and the Fisherman's Wharf district. And then got coffee and ate donuts- one of our many indulgences on this trip. Tired from our travels, we headed back to the hotel, and made our plans for the upcoming days. We finally made it to Lombard. And then hopped back on the trolly and rode down to the pier t...

Life with the Emerts. Saturday, August 18, 2007. Finally back to the park. Links to this post. Sugar and spice and everything nice. Keep up the good work. Olivia loved baby Caroline and wanted to hold her "Hands, hands, hands," the whole time we were there. She cried when we had to put Caroline in her bassinett and is still saying "Caroline, bye, bye" a week after our visit. Next, we ate lunch with baby Addison, the daughter of Heather and Shawn, our former Life! Addison sound asleep in her carseat.

Wednesday, May 12, 2010. Beating the previous record of 18.5 months set by her big sister Ava, Audrey officially started walking at 14.5 months on May 2nd. She'd been toying around with it for about a month, but as of last Sunday she's all over the place, done holding onto furniture, etc. Check out our little girl walking! Posted by Mary Vaca. Thursday, May 6, 2010. April, May. What? Wow, so April came and went, didn't it? Jim would have been so excited.). The next weekend (I know, we just don't stop....

The Cow Family: December 2009
http://vacafamily.blogspot.com/2009_12_01_archive.html
Monday, December 7, 2009. Except it rained horrendously and Ava only made it to about five houses. She was completely happy to come home and hand out candy to all the bigger kids who just decided to get soaked anyway. We were also lucky to have Ava and Audrey's godparents, Steve and Jenny, in town from Durham. She loved that! So did we). As well, Audrey was dedicated on November 1st at church, so that was an exciting event for all of us. The girls on Halloween. Every Vaca is a cow the first time. Audrey ...

Life with the Emerts. Sunday, December 9, 2007. So, I'm making up a new term for bloggers like me who think they can just blog once a month, and that's acceptable or something. It's "blogger bum" and I'm the chairman, president, founder of the lot of us. No excuse, just absolutely pathetic. Between all the celebrating, Olivia did make time for a couple trips to the park. I, too, have always believed that forks are overrated. The birthday girl and the birthday boy exchange a birthday kiss. Fearfully makin...

Life with the Emerts. Wednesday, September 12, 2007. We're not doing a whole lot of anything here lately, other than the norm.getting together with friends when we can, working when we have to, going to "school," coming up with new activities to keep us occupied now that the pool is closed, and waiting on babies to be born- come on Evelyn and Josie! Olivia's new playdough kit is keeping her pretty busy. Though the moms were a little concerned, Tallon and Olivia had a blast. Daddys and their girls. We rea...
