Wednesday, December 17, 2014. 12 days of treat - Day 1 - Peanut Butter Squares. Growing up these little squares appeared at pot luck dinners, church functions but if you ask my husband he will tell you they remind him of funerals. For me personally they give me a hug from my mom, make me not miss family when I do. Last year was the first time I made them, I had no idea how easy they would be. 1 cup peanut butter. 1 bag of butterscotch chips. 1 bag mini marshmallows. Stir in mini marshmallows.

Saturday, January 31, 2015. 11/4 cup graham crumbs. Melt first 3 ingredients. Add egg and stir till thicken.Stir in remaining ingredients. Press firmly in ungreased 8x8 pan. 1/4 cup vanilla custard ( birds ). 2 cups icing sugar. Cream all ingredients together and spread over bottom layer. Tuesday, December 16, 2014. 12 days of treats - Swimmom. It is not always pretty. Mess but it works. 12 days of treats. Baking has always been my go to stress relief ( got me through college), the few minute it takes to whip up a batch of cookies shuts out everything and results in happiness in a bite. I have an incredible group of kids in my life who work hard in everything they do. Hours in the water swimming, advanced classes in school, volunteering, working and squeezing in time to be a kid.

It is amazing how the stress of the world around you disappears when you put on your dancing shoes, put on some good music and let your body move to the music. It took me a long time to realize that it didn't matter that I was just learning and most people were probably not watching me anyways.
