Live and Let Craft: August 2009
http://liveandletcraft.blogspot.com/2009_08_01_archive.html
Live and Let Craft. Tuesday, August 11, 2009. On Saturday, I was feeling crafty. I went to my favorite neighborhood craft store, Fiber Notion. And picked up supplies to do some embroidery. This is a new undertaking for me. I did cross-stitch as a kid, but never legitimate embroidery. A few months ago, I picked up the Kyuuto! Japanese Crafts: Woolly Embroidery. Book Why not give it a go? I finally pulled myself away from the store and ventured onward. Plywood to make a string art project. Do Bats Eat Cats?

one potato: Jane's Quilt
http://onepotato.blogspot.com/2008/09/janes-quilt.html
Sunday, September 21, 2008. Easy Lap Quilt from Bend-the-Rules Sewing. Purchased at Brooklyn Mercantile. Both in Park Slope, Brooklyn. I have spent nearly every day of my maternity leave hanging out with or talking to my new friend R, whose daughter Jane was born the same day as our little Sam. Together we have attempted sing-a-longs, roamed the park and obsessed over sleep (and our children's seeming disdain for it, day or night). R - This is so cute! I'm sure Jane will LOVE it. one potato: California Baby
http://onepotato.blogspot.com/2010/02/california-baby.html
Tuesday, February 02, 2010. My crafty friend M. Had a beautiful baby girl in November. I know it's crazy to make the quiltmaker's daughter a quilt, but I loved these fabrics and they had to go to sweet Lila in California. Of course it took me 3 months to get the thing out the door, but better late then never. Whoops. The design is inspired by my Counterpane Quilt. I did loopy quilting in the open spaces which was really fun. The fabrics are from Fiber Notion. And ye olde stash. Brooklyn, NY, United States.
