I have been having rough winter and I am changing meds. I can't take lyrica. What works for you? I am frustrated and need suggestions! 27th-Dec-2013 05:38 pm (UTC). I'm on Lyrica, but i did alright on Neruontin (gabapentin). it didn't work quite as well but it did help. 27th-Dec-2013 10:20 pm (UTC). I recommend Savella. Here's an odd question:. Has anyone experienced an increase in allergies/sensitivities/intolerances after the onset of fibro? After my diagnosis, I got these:. Lactose intolerance came bundled along with the IBS. Anaphylactic allergy to sucralose (Splenda). A similar reaction to Pizza Hut pizza- but I can eat most other pizza, provided I take my handy dandy dairy pill. Greatly increased seasonal allergies. Is this just age, is it just coincidence, or is there an actual correlation to the fibro?

She then said something about "coffee affecting deep sleep". which made me think, and say to her "ah, that is *why* coffee doesn t affect my sleep at all, because people with fibro don t get deep sleep in the first place!
