Thursday, February 25, 2010. This has not been a foodie week. Big projects at work plus a paper due meant many hours in front of the computer - not blogging. I won't embarrass myself by discussing last night's dinner in detail, but it's amazing what edible things one finds in desk drawers at 8pm. Wednesday, April 25, 2012. Atwater's Ploughboy Kitchen. Mt. Washington. I was off work one day and was in the mood for a sandwich. Atwater's Chicken Salad. Sandwich is usually my go-to for that kind of craving, but for the sake of this blog I decided I needed to at least try something. Different. I saw that Atwater's has a location called their Ploughboy Kitchen. And a good sandwich I had. I ordered half a Winter Roast Turkey ($4.95). 395) local field mix, red grapes, pistachios and a balsamic vinaigrette.

May 23, 2012. Chocolate Fig Sandwich Cookies. Chocolate Fig Sandwich Cookies. Chocolate Cookies, from Grand Central’s Baking Book. 2 cups all-purpose flour. 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder. 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, room temperature. 1 tsp vanilla extract. Fig and Chocolate Spread (available at Whole Foods). Combine flour, cocoa, and salt into bowl, and set aside. Cream sugar and butter together in mixer for 3 minutes on medium speed. Add vanilla and put on lower speed. Heat oven to 325 degrees F.
