The Cup of Water. Fortunately, eventually that passed. We moved onto another group and played more bingo, and she moved on to work on other things. Nap time came and went, along with outside time, during which time the kids had a snack and a cup of water. It is important to note that the water was brought in by the children’s parents because of the unknown quality of the faucet water due to the recent flooding. Links to this post. Fictophile: December 2010

http://fictophile.blogspot.com/2010_12_01_archive.html

The Vast West Awaits. It doesn't look as much of a tongue twister as it is until you try to say it ten times fast. I'm glad I've stayed these couple of years, though, as I've been blessed with the friendships of a number of people since that time. And I've gained some experiences in other areas in my life, as well. But it will be interesting, now, to see what the Lord has in store for me back in Colorado! Links to this post. Fictophile: Giving and Preparation and Learning and The Creation and stuff

http://fictophile.blogspot.com/2013/07/giving-and-preparation-and-learning-and.html

Giving and Preparation and Learning and The Creation and stuff. I haven't been blogging much lately, mostly waiting until the end of the year for the final shakedown. But I felt during church today that I need to blog a bit more. I had a handful of things running through my head that I wanted to blog about. And as the day has worn on, more things have come to me. The thought I have in mind right now came as I was driving home listening to The RM. Does it need the algae at the bottom of the lake? 182; And...

Meliisms: February 2008

http://meliisms.blogspot.com/2008_02_01_archive.html

Saturday, February 2, 2008. I know why the grass is greener in Lubbock. In any case, I took a mental note of the greenness of the grass and proceeded to do my shopping. When I walked back to my car, I discovered a grounds worker diligently spraying green paint on the parts of the grass that hadn't yet reached that lovely spring green hue. Apparently, this green is indeed not natural, but painted. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Alexandria, Virginia, United States. View my complete profile.

Meliisms: December 2007

http://meliisms.blogspot.com/2007_12_01_archive.html

Thursday, December 27, 2007. Christmas with the Boys. Finally, Anna and I had Christmas with Jeremy and Jacob. We always have fun with them! My second Christmas was at Anna's house in Charlotte, North Carolina. Mom came down from Raleigh. I think she was a little surprised that I gave her so many chili pepper accessories for her kitchen- -I guess I've spent too much time in the Southwest! I LOVE the new cycling jersey I got! We get a little crazy playing games in my family. Christmas with Dad and Beth.

I hiked up along the U.S. side of the canyon.gorgeous! Near a formation of slick rock called the "window". A beautiful late afternoon sky.

Thursday, June 5, 2008. I would take a picture, but I don't know where my camera is at the moment and don't feel like looking for it. Thursday, June 23, 2011. Summer Adventure: Rock Creek Trail. Well, it's only my fifth post for the day, but it finally takes us up to the present. Our adventures today took us back to the fish hatchery to hike on another one of their trails. Today's trail: Rock Creek. There was a beautiful little stream along the early part of the trail. Tailynne loved posing in front of the stream. Camden served as our guide with the map a few times. Tailynne discovered two ants carrying off a work on the trail.

Monday, July 28, 2008. We ended our trip with 2 days in Aguas Calientes and Machu Picchu. Seriously, these ruins are so much BIGGER in person than you can possibly imagine from a picture.
