Finding the magic in the every day *. Thursday, July 25, 2013. They Say It's Good to Have Goals. When I graduated college a few months ago, I was turned out into the world with no goals to speak of and a rather fuzzy idea of who I was that was the result of too little sleep, too many essays, and not enough "me" time. Then came a period of panic as I tried to remember what I liked. To do and to figure out what I wanted. And summer institute and being brave. Of course, this summer is different in several p...

I have so many nice juniors waiting for cage space and additionally, so many sale animals waiting for their new owner! Unfortunately, lately everyone has wanted Hollands and as you all know, I will not sell my hollands until they're 4-6 months old. All but two of my sale animals are Hotots! Anyways, here's a few pictures of Hotot babies that I took today!

Little Rascal's Rabbitry: August 2013
http://littlerascalsrabbitry.blogspot.com/2013_08_01_archive.html
Friday, August 30, 2013. Well, this was inevitable but since my family and I are in the middle of building our home and moving, I've decided to take a long break from my blog. I seldom have more than 10 minutes a day on an iphone to check and answer emails and facebook messages for rabbits and also keep up with my closest friends. I have gotten some excellent juniors to grow out lately that I'm very excited about! I'm not sure if I will follow through and start showing though. As much as I love the s...

Little Rascal's Rabbitry: April 2014
http://littlerascalsrabbitry.blogspot.com/2014_04_01_archive.html
Monday, April 28, 2014. A New Road For This Breeder. Additionally, I've picked out my new horse. It's just a matter of taking the time a few times each week to visit her 80 minutes from my home, to ride and get to know her before her current owner will consider releasing her to me. That is definitely going to take a ridiculous amount of time (and gas money) to visit her. I may grow them out for another month to see their true type. I need to make sure they're all finished with their jr molt before I ...

http://littlerascalsrabbitry.blogspot.com/2014/07/well-on-our-way-to-3-years.html
Monday, July 7, 2014. Well On Our Way To 3 Years! After yesterday's post, I began thinking about how long it has really been since I really started getting back into rabbits. In February 2012, I picked up two Dwarf Hotot bucks with the full intention of using them for the revamping of my project. Which means that I am two years and five months into it! Two weeks before my one-year mark. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). American Dwarf Hotot Rabbit Club. Holland Lop Rabbit Specialty Club.

Little Rascal's Rabbitry: RIP Valentina :'(
http://littlerascalsrabbitry.blogspot.com/2014/04/rip-valentina.html
Wednesday, April 16, 2014. Today, I was happily walking around the barn when I got home, feeding the hungry bunnies when I came to Valentina's cage and quickly concluded that my best doe was in fact, dead. Strewn about her still body were mouthfuls of pulled fur. and no babies. I dropped the feed bucket in my hands and pulled Val out to examine her; .to confirm my fears. Feeling of loss and a breaking heart creep up on me. Today, I learned the truth of the old veterinary saying: "If the patient gets bett...
