Hozier ~ Work Song | Fierce:Fragile

https://fiercefragile.com/2015/02/20/hozier-work-song

I've never believed in God, but I believe in Picasso. Diego Rivera. February 20, 2015 in Music. I rarely get smitten with lyrics… usually it’s Leonard Cohen that does this to me, but I found a new one. New to me, anyway, since I tend to keep my head under a rock when it comes to main stream radio tunes. I love these lyrics (and the song) so much, I just can’t help myself, I need to put them here. Boys workin’ on empty. Is that the kinda way to face the burning heat? I just think about my baby. I’d ...

Hardly do I know you by sight. You return at some hour of the night to a house at an angle to my window. A wholly imaginary house. It is there that from one second to the next. Cycling Musings: May 2013

http://www.cyclingmusings.com/2013_05_01_archive.html

May 6, 2013. My Boggs Enduro adventure. So I ogled the race website. And not seeing the “I don’t know what the hell I’m doing on an MTB” category, decided to register in sport. Because why the hell not? And I’m always a fan of biting off a bit more than I think I can chew. Here’s kind of how it all went down. I say “kind of” because the results don’t really count, and categories don’t really matter, so I’m putting the entertainment factor ahead of accuracy. Day 1 – Hill Climb. Just go until you fall over!

Cycling Musings: Road to Leadville: Tahoe Trail 100

http://www.cyclingmusings.com/2015/07/road-to-leadville-tahoe-trail-100.html

Jul 21, 2015. Road to Leadville: Tahoe Trail 100. Welcome back, it’s been a while! After a very lackluster performance in Austin, TX, at the Rattler, due in part to fitness and in part to mechanical issues, I was looking to give another Leadville qualifier a go. Luckily there’s one virtually in my back yard, Tahoe Trail 100. For letting me ride with him and showing me the course), I really couldn’t judge pace because my legs were cooked from the day before. While I typically race long MTB events with a C...

I can be a middle of the pack climber, but I felt absolutely no pressure going to the start line. The goal was to pace myself and leave it all on the course and see how I stack up. Stage 2: The Road Race. Stage 3: the crit. Mar 19, 2012. Madera Stage Race 2012 - mistakes, mechanicals and wind. Stage 1: Crit - the mistake. And hit it as ha...

Apr 16, 2013. Chico Stage Race report. I’ve eyed this event for a couple of years now, and this year finally decided to give it a go. It would be my fourth stage race in six weeks and I was looking for a solid performance after a few sub-par ones at Madera and Topsport. The road race is a 45-mile loop out of Paskenta with a 4.5-mile section of gravel that ends 3.5 miles from the finish. The rest of the race is flat with a few rollers. 8221; – I thought. Cycling Musings: June 2012

Jun 29, 2012. This is a slightly out of character post for this blog and perhaps one of the more boring ones for most of you, but I felt the need to say the following. Given that Strava. Is such a huge part of our cycling community, especially here in the Bay Area, this is still somewhat cycling related, tho tenuously, I admit. Yesterday, this blog post. Was brought to my attention by a teammate. And in case it gets taken down, it was also picked up here. You're not a lawyer, are you? What is to stop som...

Cycling Musings: July 2012

http://www.cyclingmusings.com/2012_07_01_archive.html

Jul 23, 2012. Cascade Cycling Classic recap. Kurt and I arrived in Bend early Thursday afternoon and the first thing we did was kitted up and rode to recon Sunday’s circuit race and then Saturday’s TT course. This also served as our leg openers, because after almost 9 hours in a car, we surely needed them. Our stage race started on Friday with a 70-mile road race that ended in a climb up to Mt. Bachelor. Stage 1. The Road Race. Then, something clicked, and I said to myself: “Oh, no you don’t! The course ...

Za oknem piękna pogoda, a ja siedzę z gorączką i naszło mnie na takie luźne przemyślenia. Pomyślałam, że dobrze jest czasami uchwycić i uwiecznić nasze myśli, uczucia. Say hello to usa!

Fierce:Fragile | "I've never believed in God, but I believe in Picasso." ~ Diego Rivera

I've never believed in God, but I believe in Picasso. Diego Rivera. Saïd Chraïbi – Likaa. November 21, 2016 in Music. The first time I heard Arabic oud was while watching my then- belly dance hero, Rachel Brice, dance live for the first time. She performed a gooey, wonderfully slow dance to what I thought was a flamenco guitar piece. Later I asked her what that guitar tune was and she had no idea what I was talking about… most likely because I had the instrument wrong. Click to email (Opens in new window).

Fierce Freedom

Wednesday, November 9, 2011. Posted by Fierce Freedom. Nothing you read is going to help you. No one you talk to can ever be held responsible for anything that happens to you. Don't come here anymore looking for anything. i don't know why you have come here, anyway. There's no answer to be found here. There's only ever been one answer and being alive is it. it is already the case. Is that being is. This is. this is it. It doesn't matter if you realize that or not, it's already true.
