So one day on my way to work last week I counted not one, not two, but FOUR mattresses on the sidewalks. And three of them were all within about two blocks of my house. NOW WITH 25% MORE MONKEY! Tuesday, June 04, 2013. The past week has been chock full. A home game, an away game, U23 game, a U18 and an away viewing on CSN. All United. I am tired, exhausted really. My throat hoarse, my lungs and limbs aching. However, it is an awesome feeling. And at times transcendental. Awesome to be with my peeps. Awesome to meet new peeps. Awesome to guide those new to the stands. Awesome to breathe in the smoke and flares. Gonna go to sleep now. Can't wait for the next match.

I meant to post about a house on 10th St the seemed to be going nowhere. Then a week or so later I noticed that it had permits and construction seemed to be on it's way. So. if you wait long enough with some vacant properties something will happen. Maybe not this week. Maybe not this month. Maybe not this year. Or even this decade. 1000 M St NW - update.

The Langston School on the unit block of P St NW has been vacant for-like-ever. This photograph is from 2007. There have been some improvements, like better boarded up windows and doors. According to Wikipedia. The school has been vacant sometime after 1997 when it closed and it is on the National Register of Historic places. Apparently, DC officials have never heard of the Broken Windows. Friday, March 27, 2015. 328 T St NW- minor update. I mentioned this property last year in February. It is still owned by Howard University. But recently quoted in the Washington City Paper, the Howard University President said ground will break to restore the property in 6 months. Location: 326 T Street Northwest, Washington, DC 20001, USA. I know Im probably one in a million people asking you questions, but fingers crossed. Thank you.

Scott Roberts of Bloomingdale has on the BACA blog part of an article. From the Washington Business Journal mentioning these two buildings. Langston has been closed for like, ever. Slater.
