Just a Fifty Fleet. Just a regular dude, working on an old car. Friday, June 27, 2014. A lil Paint and some PB Blaster! Go the sway bar and brackets painted. Wile waiting for that to dry did a little wire wheel on the cross member. It looks a lot better! I got another half pound of crud off her. I also took the other parts out of the vinegar soak and hit them with a wire brush to finish them up. Then I painted those too. I did not paint these bolts but they are looking good! Friday I started taking the passenger side door apart while I was waiting on my windshield seal to show up. It was fairly uneventful until I go to the door handle! When the vent window rubber seals come I will blow it back apart. After I got it all together I took her for a ride. With the windows up, a much quieter ride! I removed the glass from the rear passenger side today as well as all the old channel and whisker strips. I will get the glass cleaned of dirt and paint over spray before putting it back. I hope to honor the history and tradition of the banners while bringing them into the modern world, moving alphabetically from the St. Andrews's cross of Alabama to the Bison proudly standing in the middle of Wyoming's standard. Thanks for all of the interest and check out my other blogs! Monday, November 9, 2015. Intake gasket replaced . Thursday, May 14, 2015. Trans Mount and Engine Seal. Nothing too major going on but I finally replaced the transmission mounting pad. I also have had an oil leak so I started wit the valve cover gaskets. I went with Fel-Pro Molded gaskets.
