Everything or Nothing: March 2012

http://mom-math-maniac.blogspot.com/2012_03_01_archive.html

Thursday, March 29, 2012. A word about Super Fly Guy. My oldest son has an undying love for the Super Fly Guy. Series by Tedd Arnold. These books are really funny and really easy to read. They are a little "gross" but not over the top. They are perfect for me to stack up in his bed for him to read to himself at night. These books also pass my test for no "I hate grownups" themes and also no "My Siblings are My Enemies" themes. I HATE books that try to drum up that crap. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Sunday, March 30, 2014. In the couches and getting a jump on Week 2! So on Friday morning I vacuumed out the couches. GROSS! The big couch must've been done more recently, because it wasn't nearly this bad. I said to the boys, "Who has been stuffing dirty tissues down in the couch cushions? Simon said to me, "Who has been dropping their hairbands down in the couch cushions? Touche', Simon, touche'. I was actually getting low on those. Here are me week 2 Goals:. Go to the gym twice. Paint the bathroom door.

http://mom-math-maniac.blogspot.com/2012_10_01_archive.html

Wednesday, October 10, 2012. All of August and most of September was spent on Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. Ike LOVED it and Simon loved parts of it. There was a lot of plot in there for a kindergartener to follow. We decided we'll wait until at least next summer before we start book 5. Our next book to finish off September was Pippi Goes Aboard. Ike has been reading the A to Z Mysteries. He is currently about halfway through the second one. He is always resistant when I say it is time to do h...

Wednesday, April 9, 2014. Monday and Tuesday - Week 3. I completely skipped Monday's assignment to clean out your silverware drawer. However, I did manage to get rid of this giant metal tub that we had won at the school's auction a couple years ago. We have never. Even thought I didn't do my assignment I did do a whole lot of work for actual work though, so that was good. I also planted blueberry bushes. Mmmmm. I also got my week's goals:. Do 3 piano lessons with the boys. Go to the gym 2 times. On a sid...

http://mom-math-maniac.blogspot.com/2012_05_01_archive.html

Wednesday, May 2, 2012. This month we did read The Giraffe, the Pelly, and Me. By Roald Dahl and it was actually not too bad. We have been working on Where the Red Fern Grows. But still have a couple chapters left. I never thought I would be the censoring kind of mom but I just couldn't bring myself to read the part where the Pritchet boy falls on his hatchet. Dogs dying is sad, boys dying is not something I want to discuss yet with the goons. Whew, I would HATE. To have a month without Captain Underpants.

http://mom-math-maniac.blogspot.com/2014/04/week-2-wednesday.html

Thursday, April 3, 2014. One of the assignments for the day was to wipe down all the door handles. Simon, who was home sick again, helped me with this and we were done in about 5 minutes. I some how missed the assignment about cleaning out your drawers so I am going to add that to the list for Friday. So I actually did awesome on my 5-7 specific goals "To do" list. Catch up on laundry. Take bathroom door off hinges and prep for painting. To pee with in the bathroom that didn't have a door on it. Subscrib...

Figuring My Focal Point

I thought blogging was dumb. Then I watched Julie and Julia, in which the protagonist writes a blog about cooking and becomes famous, and I decided it was cool. No I still thought it was dumb. Then I read my friends' blogs, and I was truly enlightened. They were so fun to read, I figured they must be fun to write. I'm trying to understand why.
