I'm thankful that I have a roof over my head, food in my pantry, clothes on my back, and clean water. I'm thankful that I live in a first-world country where, despite the many faults it has, I still had the opportunity to get an education, healthcare, and clean air. I'm thankful that I have a loving, supportive family and some really great friends.

In passing, and that made me remember that these were two sci-fi movies that I'd never seen but had wanted to for years, so I went and checked them out (the director's cuts of each). I just finished watching them back to back. Both were incredible movies, but that's not what I'm writing this about. Not twenty minutes into Dark City.

Movie, and apparently it has a scene with John Cho as Lt. Sulu, fencing. I am considering seeing it for this reason alone. The one where everyone gets a virus that makes them crazy and Sulu runs around shirtless, attacking people with his foil - was my favorite, favorite Star Trek. Yeah, Howard and Claude go to Arby's.
