Film vs. Book: The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas: Book vs Film
http://filmvsbook.blogspot.com/2011/06/boy-in-striped-pyjamas-book-vs-film.html
Film vs. Book. For all lovers of great stories. Always a Workie, Never Employed. Thursday, 2 June 2011. The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas: Book vs Film. John Boyne has made an absolute fortune I imagine for this book, especially as it's been translated and sold to over 40 countries worldwide (and still counting). And rightly so, I hasten to add. It is a rare writer who can write about the Holocaust with innocence and sincerity and in such a way that appeals to children and adults alike. 5/5 FOBLES - book.

Remembering old music and movies – and doing a disservice to them both. STORY: The Man Who Thought He Was Cheryl Cole. By Slick Nick @Poppeelings. On the train to work, he displayed a hand tattoo etched by biro. He pretended to wave a flowing lock of chemically-enhanced hair in other commuter’s faces. He caught a glimpse of a photo of Cheryl Cole in a business man’s ruffled copy of that morning’s Metro, saying that wasn’t taken at me best angle like. Where’s the nearest dressing room pet? I like you a lo...

Spoiler-free film reviews from film studies graduate Joe Richards. July 26, 2015. July 26, 2015. I never would have thought it possible that an imaginary friend named Bing Bong, who is made up of part dolphin, part elephant and part candy floss, would make me cry buckets in the middle of a cinema, at twenty seven years old – but that’s exactly what happened during Pixar’s latest, Inside Out. The high concept idea involves five emotions; Joy; Sadness; Disgust; Fear; and Anger; who essentially live within ...
