Ektachrome | Going Lomo

When words become unclear, I shall focus with photographs. When images become inadequate, I shall be content with silence. Jul 25, 2015. These are from the first roll of E-6 slide film I ever cross-processed and I was quite thrilled with some of the results. Kodak Ektachrome has since become one of my favourite films. It’s a shame that Kodak no longer produces it. These three shots are of the Grey Wolf enclosure at the Calgary Zoo. Unfortunately, the wolves were nowhere to be seen. You may also like:.

Focus To Infinity: November 2008

http://focustoinfinity.blogspot.com/2008_11_01_archive.html

Thursday, November 13, 2008. It has been busy! So busy that I have not had time to do anything for myself. Needless to say my picture taking has been on the back burner for weeks now. The only thing I have been. Doing is scanning my "old" style film pictures into my computer. This project will take a long time but I knew from the beginning that scanning 10s of 1000s of pictures would! Well I will keep at it. Remember there are some great picture taking opportunities in the fall and winter take advantage!

Focus To Infinity: July 2008

http://focustoinfinity.blogspot.com/2008_07_01_archive.html

Wednesday, July 30, 2008. As a child I always remembered my father taking pictures on family outings, but I never had any real interest in photography. I did not get "into" photography until I purchased my 1st really serious camera, the Minolta 110 Zoom SLR in the mid 70s for a trip a friend and I were taking to California. As the years went by I came to learn that the 110 film format did not lend itself to many things I wanted to do, including. Remember, take a camera with you! Links to this post.

Focus To Infinity: May 2013

http://focustoinfinity.blogspot.com/2013_05_01_archive.html

Sunday, May 12, 2013. Going strong with Analog. It was clean and works great. Buying film is not a problem as there seems to be more types available now then there were 2 years ago. And there are quite a few labs that process it for very cheap. As I mentioned last year I have equipment for developing and printing now in my house. As of yet I only do Black and White but will be trying Color soon. Perhaps my next project will be to test and report back on all the equipment and cameras I have now.

Let's Talk About Film. Wednesday, March 21, 2018. Kodak Portra 400 Side-By-Side with Fujicolor PRO400H. When using COLOR 35mm film in the studio or street photography I primarily use Kodak Portra 400. I sometimes use Kodak Gold or Fujicolor Superia X-tra 400 when I want a more affordable option, but I prefer Portra (both 160 and 400). I imported the images into Adobe Lightroom and only cropped, removed dust spots and slighting increased contrast on all of the photos equally. Kodak Portra 400 dries fairly...

Between light and shadow, a borderline...

Between light and shadow, a borderline. Torsdag 12. januar 2017. Inside the dry dock on a lazy Sunday. Out I went, over to the dry dock area of the yard. I have been here before, as it happens. I think this is the same dock we went into at some point when I was a trainee on board my first vessel some years back. The old "HAMEN" of Bergen inside the dock. Beautiful lines on the ships back then. These days they more or less looks like floating containers if you compare them to these beauties. Oh, and I fou...
