FILMING: Day Three 29th March 2010. The scenes in the bedroom where fine and the room turned out to have fantastic natural lighting so only needed subtly lighting. I thought this was going to cause huge problems due to the massive wall of mirrors in the room, which was one reason we chose the location, but it turned out fine and enabled us to get some great looking shots. 3rd Shoot Cancelled – 25th March 2010. Today was meant to be the 3rd shoot but annoyingly due to the weather we had to cancel as the shoot was due to take place outside. Gemma and Tara had been looking at the MET office reports all week and finally on Tuesday night Gemma called me to say the shoot was cancelled due to the reports saying it would rain. The frustrating thing was that it did rain…but not until later on when we would have finished the shoot. So today seemed like it was wasted.

Interm Critique 27th April 2010. Today was the final interm crit before the final crit. So this was a nervous time for me as if there was anything majorly wrong with our film then we had 3 days to fix it, which is not very long considering we still needed to finish editing it. We had some minor problems to start with as Tara had brought the rough cut on her mac, so that’s one problem! I am pleased with showing the 1st rough cut version and am now really looking forward to seeing the final graded version.

From the original idea I feel we have stayed very loyal to this over the script changes and casting. The only real difference is that we scraped a character and the idea of demons keeping it as just a vampire film. The storyline is basically the same and I feel the audience can understand the narrative with ease. I’m im totally honest I wish I could have had a bit more freedom on the camera work. FILMING: Day Two – 22nd March 2010. Bull;23/03/2010 • Leave a Comment. We decided to meet and hour earlier this time so we could have everything 100% ready for when the cast arrive. If im honest this was a scary thought as I knew todays shoot was going to be longer than the 1st shoot, which lasted 7 hours! I am very pleased with todays shoot as I feel we got exactly what we wanted with hardly any complications and left the day with spirits high and feeling of looking forward to the 3rd day of shooting.
