Sunday, October 2, 2011. Welcome to Finding Frederick. I recently moved back to Frederick, after living in Montgomery County, MD, closer to my work. While I made some great friends there, I very much disliked the crowding and the city feel. So when the opportunity presented itself, my husband and I returned to Frederick - and never looked back. Frederick is a place I would consider raising my children. I would never have wanted to do that in Montgomery County, a cut-throat, over-crowded locale.

What exactly is Life Coaching? Life coaches have many different areas of expertise. There are coaches who specialize in weight loss, health and wellness, grief counseling, career choices, and more. I specialize in helping people through painful transitions. I call myself a transitional tutor. I used to leave my College Algebra classroom, turn immediately right, and enter the tutoring lab. I knew I couldn't handle Algebra on my own. Sometimes we just need to be heard. That's what a coach is trained to do.
