FINDING JOY IN THE JOURNEY: February 2013
http://findingjoyinthejourney-joy.blogspot.com/2013_02_01_archive.html
FINDING JOY IN THE JOURNEY. One woman's adventures in self-discovery. Have You Ever Felt So Afraid? Have you ever felt so afraid to lose yourself, you clung tight to all you are, desperate, each time you felt it tug? I have, and I do. My husband has told me that I do not adapt to change well. I'm beginning to see that he is right. I fear that I will wake up one day, pull on my stretchy mom-jeans and pilly t-shirt, with my hair pulled back, and wonder: "Who is this woman? And what if I don't like her much?

FINDING JOY IN THE JOURNEY. One woman's adventures in self-discovery. Perspective. Seeing your world, THE world through a different window.the window of a God elevated above the situation.watching, knowing, moving. The perspective from above, flying high beneath the wings of an eagle.this perspective? Changes everything. Beautiful. Majestic. Peace-filled and calm. Everything in its place- the rivers the mountains- trees square around quaint communities. Do they feel lost, as I? Just know, that we are not.

FINDING JOY IN THE JOURNEY. One woman's adventures in self-discovery. Laying in bed, my heart rips open. Alone, in a house filled with people. Who love. I remember the days when every moment felt like this.and I send a little prayer up for you. My heart hurts, knowing my perspective is far less shattered then most. Then yours. Why me? Why have I been sheltered from a painful life? Breathe life. We want to LIVE. To love. To love to live. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Follow Me On Pinterest.

FINDING JOY IN THE JOURNEY. One woman's adventures in self-discovery. Scrubbing the Bathroom (Part II). I am always amazed by my kids’ eagerness to clean at my side, but as much fun as it is for them, I find myself getting frustrated with their added distraction from the task at hand! They are not just content to wipe the counter for me as I spray down the shower…oh no, they insist on being hip-to-hip, underfoot, and often leaving a drippy trail behind me! Mom, what’s that? Need more soap, Mom! A maid se...

Anything But Ordinary: January 2012
http://anythingbutordinary-dana15.blogspot.com/2012_01_01_archive.html
Monday, January 16, 2012. Sometimes I feel like that describes my life perfectly - organized chaos. Being a mom of three is never an easy job. It's insanely busy, there are no breaks, not even when you have to go to the bathroom - if they're not in there with you, they're banging on the door wanting something. That just can't wait! Some days I find myself just counting down the hours until they're finally in bed for the night and I can relax! Of course, by this point in the day, the 20 month old has alre...

Monday, February 27, 2012. Happy Birthday to my Little Tinkerbell! We celebrated our daughter's 4th birthday this weekend and it was so much fun! It's crazy to think she's 4 already and yet at the same time, she feels like she's 4 going on 6! Her older brother is in Kindergarten this year and Shaela is a little sponge - she soaks up absolutely EVERYTHING that he comes home and tells her. I swear she'll be reading by the time she starts school! Sunday, February 5, 2012. It makes me laugh! I am a stay at h...

Anything But Ordinary
http://anythingbutordinary-dana15.blogspot.com/2012/04/little-monkey-turned-two-yesterday-its.html
Friday, April 13, 2012. My little monkey turned two yesterday! It's been a really fun - and sometimes frustrating - two years. He loves to laugh and is a very happy kid. But he also likes to get into mischief - see photo below! He had snagged a bag of icing sugar out of the pantry and was playing very quietly in his sister's room. When we went to check on him, he had icing sugar EVERYWHERE! Hard to get mad at him when he gives you that little grin, though! Happy 2nd Birthday, Cohen! The Visser Family Blog.

Welcomed a new baby boy into the family, Atlee Macgreggor. Given Cohen his second ever haircut (I had a really hard time parting with his adorable little curls! Anything But Ordinary: May 2011
http://anythingbutordinary-dana15.blogspot.com/2011_05_01_archive.html
Monday, May 2, 2011. As if I need any more things to take up my time so I forget to update my blog, I have found a new hobby, one that is going to prove very addicting! What is it, you ask? Technically, I have had a sewing machine for over a year now, but the bobbin winder is broken (still is) and my step-dad was going to fix it for me. That hasn't happened yet (hopefully soon, cuz it's a PAIN doing it by hand! This weekend I started my first two projects. Fairly simple ones and although they are far...

Anything But Ordinary: November 2011
http://anythingbutordinary-dana15.blogspot.com/2011_11_01_archive.html
Friday, November 25, 2011. Yes, I survived the trip to Vegas! It was fun, exhausting, some parts disappointing, but overall a great getaway with my favorite girls. I won't bore you with a day-to-day account of what we did - rather, I'll just list the highlights:. Shopping at the outlet malls and FINALLY finding a pair of COMFORTABLE casual shoes (I've been searching for over two years - thank you wide feet for being the biggest obstacle in that hunt! Seeing "Le Reve" at the Wynn. The Cheesecake Factory&#...

Anything But Ordinary: More Sewing Projects

Monday, January 2, 2012. All spread out on his bed. It's hard to really get the full effect in this shot, since the safety rail blocks it from falling over the edge of the bed, so you can get a better view of it in the next two shots. The four corners are the same material as the valance on the window. Side one. This one is made of cotton and will be on the top for now. In the summers he can flip it over to have the 'cool side' down. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile.

Sunday, August 28, 2011. Well, the beginning of our month was busy with Janis and Mike's wedding and the last half of our month has been busy with backyard soccer games, "What Time is it Mr. Wolf? Getting ready for school, and once again cutting Shaela's hair. She informed her brother the other night that she really wanted short hair - so he obliged and cut a bunch of big chunks off the back of her head! The new do (after I fixed it! Finding Joy in the Desert
Finding Joy in the Desert. Friday, February 6, 2015. When I close my eyes I can still see you. I can feel your precious cheeks on my lips and I can smell the scent that was uniquely yours. I can hear your tiny squeak and I can feel the peace I felt when I first held you and the heartbreak that incurred when I placed you in a bassinet and said a final goodbye. What would we have done for your first birthday? Would you have enjoyed your first cupcake? Would I have such a longing for eternity or would I be ...

Finding Joy in the Journey...My life with infertility
Finding Joy in the Journey. My life with infertility. Wednesday, March 13, 2013. Life always gets in the way. Money is just money to me, I don't care. As long as I have my family and we can live comfortably I am happy but when I start to think that I could use that money we save to better our family and some irresponsible drug addict just gets pregnant to go on welfare, I start to get bitter! OK OK VENTING IS DONE! I can't wait for the day that I can experience those amazing things. I try my hardest n...

Finding Joy in the Journey
Finding Joy in the Journey. Jesus never said that life would be easy. Sometimes we take unexpected roads filled with heartache and difficulty. Yet Jesus promised us joy in the journey. At times, our pain and His joy do not seem to fit together. Finding joy in the journey is the quest of the Christian life. It is my heart to help individuals to find that joy in the midst of the realities. of life. These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full.
